No, I just think so little actually happens on a federal level that matters enough to justify the apocalyptic reactions to every election.

    So far.

There are some here that want every infringement (NFA36 & GCA68) repealed right now. How is that working out?

Republicans sunset AWB94 and it expired when the FBI said it had no impact on crime.

If we allow anti-gun (whatever party) pols to be elected to the federal level we could see legislation further restricting our rights.

However looking at the entire field who do you see as the greatest threat to our rights?

Any of the Democrats, in varying but much greater extents than with Trump.

I had a guy tell me yesterday that rap is anti establishment, which is why republicans don’t like rap and democrats do.

W.T.F are these people smoking? Wanting more government means you’re anti establishment?

Just my opinion. If Sanders would get elected, he'd be the most impotent president since Jimmy Carter. No one in the House or the Senate would give him the time of day. The old commie will have use up his pad of executive orders to get anything done....and how long would America stand for that. I just don't see that commie making it out of the convention...the DNC is gonna give him the bag treatment again, and he'll whine but he'll walk away with a couple million in hush prizes. 2020 boils down to Socialism or Trump

I still think it would be unwise to underestimate Bernie's appeal as a kind 'Trump on the left'. Remember when everything Trump did and said was supposed to be the last straw that would doom him, but it never happened. You have to give Bernie credit for being authentic and I think people on the left will react to that the same way people on the right did to Trump. I predict his popularity will slowly climb and be very resilient. I believe he will get the nomination unless superdelegates are used to rob him of it. And I believe the Dems are in a lose-lose situation - knife Bernie and let the air out of the hopes of the most activist and motivated part of the party or nominate him and find out that 65-70% of the elctorate will not have a socialist government in the US

Bernie didn't lose Florida....he never had it to begin with.

As far as Bernie's appeal goes, free stuff appeals to elements of every denomination and ethnic group. I expect though it will fall as flat as George McGovern's $1000 in 1972.

One thing that is odd to me, why do we as a society accept the media doing the equivalent of reporting on practice telling us exactly how the game will turn out. Practice and games are completely different as are national polls and primary or electoral college results. Why even spend the money for national polls? The have absolutely no relevance, ask Joe Biden. Why does not one major outfit poll based on electoral college layout? Why are there few national polls on individual primary's?

Because polling is not purely scientific (if it ever was), it is agenda driven and amenable to deliberate distortions befogged by 'mathematics'

    Figures lie and liars figure

And if accurate polling was done the impact of overloading polls with NY and Cali voters would be negated...

Well put and observed. He may make a general election closer than I would like. I also fear it will become young and hip against old conservatives...

    How about an amendment...

...a presidential candidate must be a natural born citizen of the United States, a resident for 14 years, at least 35 years old and at most the national average life expectancy age.

What could a person with their foot out the door possibly want with that much power, why press for change if you won't be around long enough to see it?

Little thoughts like that that re-enforce to me how meaningless and fake the Presidential position is, and absolutely believe the CIA probably runs **** for real.

Kind of the same feeling I had when the options were Obama or Hillary. Neither one was appealing but Hillary had the political skill to make dramatic changes in our country. Obama was in over his head and all he really had was his pen and his phone. I figure in a couple decades when history can be realistic with itself they will put Jimmy and Barrack on Mount Mushmore as presidential failures. Funny how Iran made both of them their cuck.
