    How about an amendment...

...a presidential candidate must be a natural born citizen of the United States, a resident for 14 years, at least 35 years old and at most the national average life expectancy age.

What could a person with their foot out the door possibly want with that much power, why press for change if you won't be around long enough to see it?

Little thoughts like that that re-enforce to me how meaningless and fake the Presidential position is, and absolutely believe the CIA probably runs **** for real.

Think Moby Dick. Bernie is Ahab and the presidency is the white whale that took his leg. He couldn't stop if he wanted to

You cannot make this story up!

Ol Joe (Forest Gump) claims he was arrested attempting to visit Nelson Mandela (a Socialist) in 1977 along with the U.S. UN ambassador?

Yeah ah I don’t know what to say?

    https://www.dailywire.com/news/bide...ng-nelson-mandela-but-his-story-doesnt-add-up
Just one of Ol' Joe's many tall tails. Did you know his late son Beau was the US Attorney General? https://www.dailywire.com/news/watc...ns-job-was-thinks-he-was-u-s-attorney-general

So with Ol Joe just flailing out in left field can anyone reassure me that the base of the Democratic Party is not hard left Socialist and this claimed “moderate/sane” exist and is the majority of the Democrats that vote.

In Comrade Sanders news he is openly stating support for Fidel’s Cuba and China talking about after Fidel “took office” everyone became instantly able to read. The facts are is was a indoctrination program where they read and recited Communist propaganda in addition the numbers came from Fidel’s government so 30% of the population learned how to read in less than two years after the revolution? OK Yeah!

China has rose more people out of poverty than any other country according to Bernie and of course killed about 50 million or so people. I just don’t get this Sanders he didn’t even have a job until he was 40 And has only worked in the government for about 37 years out of his 78.
I retired at age 44 most people have worked for 20 plus years by the time they are 40 Bernie however lived off of his fathers money and has talked about hatred of the rich since the early days.

    btw
President Donald Trump is having a great state visit to India with large crowds just imagine if he was “respected” ?

Both of these are actually correct. Mao's "Great Leap Forward" from 1958-62 killed roughly 50 million, mostly by starvation. In 1978, roughly 90% of China's population live on less than $2/day. Since then, China took a page from the western/free market model (but not the whole book) easing up restrictions on business and allowing people to benefit from their own labor (what a concept!). This allowed over a billion people to lift themselves into the middle class over 40 years and a smaller number to various levels of larger wealth. Very good from an economic perspective, but still a totalitarian nightmare.

My experience with chinese economics is that it's more like the mafia. The party makes all the decisions and every thing revolves around currying favor of the local "made men" who you pay a percentage to. Places we did business with all had some family connection to the party, and you are pretty much going to follow their direction.

What's "legal" is often an evolving process.

Cue the usual suspects to opine about how Trump said he would be greeted by 7 million people, which did not happen, so of cource he 'lied'. Of course when people in the previous administration found reality diverged from their claims, they 'misspoke' or were 'misinterpreted'

The disconnect, Phase2, is your source says '... lift themselves out of poverty' not '...lift themselves into the middle class'

They are two different levels, and frankly I am surprised that even half the number rising out of poverty (8 x 10^8) make it to the middle class (4 x 10^8 according to Alpo's source). I would infer that the numbers in Alpo's source would almost have to be everyone middle class and higher to achieve those numbers

China has made great strides but they have not helped the poor that much. They still have millions and millions of people living and dying in abject poverty.
They also had their one-child rule which is now a two child rule. Their culture favors male children so there are lots of unwanted baby girls that are abandoned/killed. One doctor I know went to china four times in the process of adopting two girls. She saw many, many people living in the country in huts with dirt floors and no heat. They can't afford to have a girl baby so when they do they have to take measures to remedy that. However some of their cities are as modern and anywhere and the people there have a high standard of living. Depends on your connections there. They have a huge disparity in classes. Their economic system is certainly not working the way the socialist/communist fools here think it works.

It's who will own the stocks that worries me, nationalization of 401K retirement savings seems like one of those things on their wish list. I've had a 401K since they were created in 1978. In 2016 I cashed in a little of my 401K just to be able to hold some of the money I had saved over the years before Hillary exchanged it for a restricted government bond. I bought a gun with it.

So what going to happen at the Democratic debate tonight?

Will Bernie flame out over supporting Communist and possibly pass out on stage?

Will Bloomberg look like a idiot again?

Will Biden lose complete control and start proclaiming he was with Napoleon at Waterloo?

Will Liz screech and annoy everyone watching?

Will Mayor Pete sound like a robot?

I think the PriceWaterhouse observation on what constitutes middle class income is relevant. If we use the minimum that seems to be quoted by many for China ($8,000 pa), then substantially all Americans are middle class or higher. Certainly, one can subsist in China on lower income and still be well off, but it is important, methinks, to delve a bit deeper before one decides that China has pulled itself up so admirably.

And a recent article I read....can't find it right now.....states that rural families haven't shared in the economic prosperity. Many still exist at the $2 per day level.

Someone really needs to step in and get Joe Biden off to the nursing home. This stuff is just getting ridiculous.

    https://www.foxnews.com/politics/bi...l-with-long-dead-chinese-leader-deng-xiaoping

Former Vice President Joe Biden notched another gaffe Monday night in South Carolina when he discussed his experience negotiating the Paris Climate Agreement -- with a Chinese leader who has been dead for decades.

The Paris agreement was drafted in late 2015 and adopted in 2016. Deng Xiaoping -- who infamously presided over the government's deadly crackdown on the Tiananmen Square protests -- retired in 1992 and died in 1997. Biden was likely referring to Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Biden's campaign did not immediately respond to Fox News' request for comment.

At another point during the same speech, an impassioned Biden tripped over his words while calling for gun control.

"Who in God's name needs a hundred rounds in a bullet, in a clip, with a gun you have?"

Biden had another odd gaffe that day. Wrapping up his remarks at the South Carolina Democratic Party's First in the South Dinner, he misspoke about which office he was seeking and made a puzzling reference to another Biden.

"Where I come from, you don't get far unless you ask. My name's Joe Biden. I'm a Democratic candidate for the United States Senate. Look me over. If you like what you see, help out. If not, vote for the other Biden," he said.
