It's a big pistol but they are one of the best non-1911 45s you can buy.

And the funny part is that I wandered into the store looking for a 1911 when the 97B caught my eye. I just didn't love the way it fit my hand.

They also had a 75BD that I liked, especially having just sold a CZ clone. I do love the idea of having 16+1 on tap.

I'm waiting for another shop to re-open tomorrow. They had a stainless S-A 1911 Loaded on the shelf last week, and I want to feel it in my hand again before I open my wallet.

Sorry for the G***k specific post, but I picked up a G23 a couple of weeks back and in comparison to my P10C, the trigger was not that bad. I was thinking that maybe I had imagined G***k triggers to be made of mush across the board but this weekend, I had a chance to dry fire my G21 and holy cow, what a difference. Where as the G23 (Gen 4 for those still reading) has a bumpy take-up to a solid wall then a creepy break that's not too bad. The G21 is just lumpy mush right up the the release. I'm really surprised at how different the two actually feel.

You can talk that dirty G***k talk to me, 88 ...... I've had three of them for ages ! :):

Does that take the same trigger assembly as the G19/23? If so, I have something you'll want to try...

    Morning folks! :coffee:

My body seems to be rejecting DST this year. When the alarm went off at 5am, it felt every bit like 4am and I don't think I've abused the snooze button this much in years. Sorry for the G***k talk in here. This seems like a safe place to mention them without getting fan boy involvement. I do like having the things in the collection because they ground me. I don't mean to say that in terms of bashing them, because I genuinely like the things for their simplicity, but they do make me appreciate the CZs and 1911s all the more. In my mind, the 1911s represent craftsmanship, the CZs performance and the G things, utility.

My fore mentioned thought of a G19, led me to the CZ P10C and an impulse buy of a PCR, so it's a relative topic. Sort of....

What I really need to do is ignore the backlog of office work and get the CGW trigger kit into my SP-01.

On an unrelated note, we, literally, just got an inch of snow in maybe 30 minutes...
