The mouse will love my post: While at Point Blank (Greenwood) today, I handled a Dan Wesson CCO ..... oh my goodness, the beauty of it almost knocked me off my feet ! :cowbell:

If there's anyway that I can put together some moolah / trades from the safe ..... I must have that 1911 goodness.

What was the price on the CCO?

I was trying an 88' trick ..... for the first time ever, I took off my prescription glasses. It's challenging, but perhaps something that I can learn, in time
    ! :dunno:

It was marked at $ 1500, which is ridiculous .........Bud's has them listed for $ 1200

I was at The Outdoorsman this afternoon and they had the same gun but it was the new model that's called the Vigil. It was identical to my CCO but with standard checkering instead of the chain link style. It was also a blemish, but the blem on it was that a part of the frame had a different polish level than the rest. I could not see a difference. They had it priced at under $1200 IIRC. I prefer the normal checkering anyway over the chain link style.

Right ....this one. Link: Dan Wesson Vigil CCO - Dan Wesson

Also, it's lacking rear night sights. MSRP on it is $ 1298
    I'm surprised that a blem would still cost almost $ 1200 !?!

The Vigil model would be the one to get, as the checkering is WAY better. The "chain link" checking on the original CCO is just too slick. It's not bad with the rubber finger grooves added, but the standard checkering would be better IMO.

Just put the :coffee: on. I usually get the 11 year old G-daughter every morning. Cook breakfast for her and drop at school. She is staying home today so I slept in a bit...:)
