Man it was bitter outdoors today.......BBbbbrrrrrrrrrr

I was tempted to jump on the 6.5 Grendle AR in the classy's. I looked and thought and looked and thought and looked and thought some more. Shot him a PM with some questions and someone sent a solid "I will take it"...............After shooting Patience 6.5 I have been caught up in that vortex.

At least you are on the right track. The Grendel is a great do it all caliber in the AR platform.

I am flush in 5.56 pieces. 1 is built for distance.
    I have a stellar AR-10 I built. .308 is a hoot by any measure.
6.5 came on my radar at our last gathering of CZ miscreants. Patience has a serious 6.5 bolt gun. It is a tack driver.

Sounds like a fun time in all honesty. I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about the CZ 527s and the Howa Minis. Not sure if that's what he has or not.

Mine is a Savage 10 Stealth on a Drake chassis.
My friend , Kelly just mounted the Nightforce he bought on a left-handed, newer version Stealth. Has the more solid magpul adjustable stock and a bronze rvcr. Very sexy. In a "reach out and touch 'em" kinda way.

I have a similar conundrum. Selling my Legion and it'll give me plenty to pick up the Sig Scorpion 1911 in the classies... :ugh:

Is he including the original parts in the deal? That came with a decent flat trigger and a couple of other things that have been changed out on that gun. I used to have one of the early ones but ended up selling it because my color vision made it look green to me.

Moot point, someone beat me to it... :(

Oh well, maybe I'll start a fund to pick me up either a Heritage or Specialist at some point.

That's a shame, as the price was definitely right on that pistol. One of the only things that I was not crazy about on mine was the way that the grips and MSH were extended to form a magwell. It made any attempt to swap grips difficult because you had to buy a new MSH, magwell and grips. You could not just swap a different set of grips on when the mood hit you.

Sigs tend to me specific as to what and how they can be modified. It is one of the reasons I do not like the marque.

I have a set of MagPul grips on my TacOps. While not perfect, they're close enough for me, without having to go through all of that...

One of these days, I'll upgrade the guts of my Sig Railed Nickel to see if there are any fitment issues internally. I was under the impression that aside from the extractor and slide profile, they were pure 1911 internally. That gun has been on my short list for tuning for a while now. I really should get off my backside and order parts.

Speaking of ordering parts, I just left the CGW site after ordering the ultra-lite kit for my son's 75 Compact. I have part of it done with a leftover "blue" hammer spring from The Wizard upgrading my P-01, so the one that comes with the kit will go back in the spare parts kitty. It'll make a nice little stocking stuffer, along with new cocobolo grips and the FO front sight (that I already installed... I couldn't wait for Christmas on that one!), and a fun little father/son bench project with the winter weather coming soon.

Working on his compact is making me absolutely lust for a 75D PCR again.

Wow, that reminds me that I never ordered parts for the high polish 75B I picked up last spring. It's been sitting disassembled in a project box in the shop forgotten since mid-summer. I really need to finish that one.

Ahh, I recall this from a while back. How far do you plan to go with it?

If I can get my hands on a gently used PCR, I don't know how far I would go beyond the same plan I have for my son's compact... ultra-lite kit, FO front sight, and grips to dress it up a bit.

I do not know how you can leave a project gun that long. A car.....yes. A gun....NFW.
