Well dang .... did you put some in the classy's ? ( I'll have to go look)
I wouldn't want to contribute to your sadness, but I'd also like to own a CM 1911 special !

I so seldom use the classy's anymore. I know folks. They call on occasion and ask what I have.
Posting in the forum is OK but I try to do the word of mouth thing 1st.

Hit me up sometime and we can do some lunch.

Ah.... I understand ! And I'd like to do lunch with you. You spring for cheeseburgers, and I'll bring cold hard cash ..... maybe we can make a deal ? :)

Having posted the above, right now I'm (unusually) swamped with activities. I just returned last night from doing some initial winterizing at the cabin. I only returned because my daughter and her husband are coming in from out of State to spend a long weekend with us. After they depart on Monday, I have to hustle back down to the cabin. The weather prediction shows freezing nights next week, and I need to drain and winterize all of the water lines, faucets, etc..
And again .... I wouldn't want you to be sad down the road because you sold something that you really didn't need, or want to. When you see me, I want happy thoughts to sprout, not sad ones !
No matter what, I enjoyed your company last weekend, and we don't live that far apart. We should get together before the snow flies.

Sorry to hear that your fix of the 75B railed compact didn't work out, 88'.
I know how frustrating that kind of thing can be. Guess that you'll just have to accept it in the configuration that works, even though it's not the configuration that you prefer.

Thanks. The gun is a good shooter as is, but I was hoping I'd be able to go all CGW with it. As it is, it would make a good stash gun.

On the up side, I managed to repair and calibrate an old broken Craftsman Digi-torque wrench I was getting ready to toss out. Once you figure out how to disassemble them, they are quite easy to repair. Nothing really breaks inside, but the grease dries out and parts become loose. The head unit just needed soaked in Hoppe's No. 9 for a couple of minutes and then relubed with a bit of Slide Glide and assembled. The bottom end adjusting nut had come loose internally and the handle just spun loosely. The key to disassembly is two small screws under the end of the rubber grip and a T15 torx head screw to remove the head piece. It's checking out accurately now and feels like new.

Trust that when one leaves I always have a sad but then I find something to replace it and the process starts anew.
