It will take a minute or two to save up the $2k for it. A few other items on the list will probably be purchased first but I will own one.

Yeah, I'd love a Duty Coat Valor, but may end up getting a Specialist as my next DW. A lot less $$ for a gun that seems pretty similar to me.

I like the new offerings from DW. They are well fit up pieces.
That said I get no satisfaction laying out the cost of 2 Springers with mods to have a single gun that in the end I will get into anyway.
I have felt the triggers on more than a few and yes, they would need some love. Again no knock on any current owners as they are damned fine pistols.
I just get so much more satisfaction building up one of my own and running it against my buddy's high end guns and save for possibly some slick fit up mine run just as well.
Then I give the Springers to Allen and be slicks them right up for me. This does little for the way they run unless we get really silly and lighten the slides up.

I've been toying with the idea of doing a CZ1911A1 project gun to match the one I did for my nephew. It would not need much other than a beaver tail grip safety, sights, Ceracoat and grips. Might be fun if I can find one cheap enough.
