Could you give me an estimate on restoring this truck?

I got mine for $400 but had to pay shipping and transfer. So, IMO, that's a steal for a gun that tunes up really well. Plus, the duty models can use many of the standard CZ mags. So, you don't have to invest in a bunch of $43 mags specific to one platform.

That is one of the reasons I stuck with the duty model, Cajunized it and even cerakoted it. I love that gun.

Got back from Louisville a bit ago. I had a CGW package in the mailbox waiting for me when I got home too. The show was really good, but crowded. Traffic into it was awful and after sitting in the same quarter mile stretch of I65 within sight of the Expo for 45 minutes, we tried a different route and were parking the car 10 minutes later. The CZ booth was fantastic.

Oh, and the CZ booth had hats they were giving away.

I spoke with one of the techs there and bent his ear a bit about furthering the CZ 97 platform with either a 10mm, a stainless gun or a compact. He pretty much said what I expected in that they are focused on building the best service pistols for a world market and the three I mentioned would not sell outside of the US. 10mm especially. He said that outside of the US, 10mm is dead and that it makes no sense for them to spend the money to engineer a pistol with only one country to sell it in.

The Urban Gray guns look better in person than in photos, but my son thinks they look like a primer finish.

I've decided that this is my next gun:

It was a thing of beauty in person and with a fully ramped barrel, I could shoot it without the limitations I have with the Delta Elite.

    This was my son's favorite:

It's a long slide 10mm and is a really beautiful gun in person.

The only celebraties I saw was Hickock45 and R Lee Ermy. Hickock45 is a big guy. My son said he was about twice as tall as he was.

After wandering around the CZ booth today, I realized that I'd be happy if most of my gun collection was some sort of a CZ product. I think I could gladly trade my Remington R1S, Ed Brown, USGI Colt, Sig Railed Nickel and Kimber for an RZ10, P01, Specialist and Valor. I think I'd be quite happy in fact.

I mostly have the same feeling, but I'd have to try out a DW Wheelgun before I gave up my Ruger.

Just about everything I want is a CZ product. My next bolt gun will be a 527, and the next couple of pistols will likely be CZ's. Although this new Shield 45 has caught my eye...

I agree with your son . . . the urban gray does look like primer.
