I can’t express how much I like my p226 legion sao/or firearm. The 229 is a great option but I thought the little extra length of the 226 made it a tad better balanced under fire. Won’t ever be a carry gun so weight was no matter.

Good to hear the consult is moving forward!
I found that both my P226s and P229s are almost identical in weight. The difference is a trade-off between longer barrel vs shorter, but fatter grip. The P229s carry better for me due to the shorter slide/barrel.

The 229 Legion grip is a game changer for me.

Our LGS usually has a new 229 Legion in stock. I have, so far, avoided one. LOL!

This comes back up on this deal and I'm on it. I should have jumped. Won't make that same mistake again.

It was $1199 plus tax, (free ship) with a Romeo1 Pro. But I wasn't sure I would like the 226 and hesitated.

The 229 was even better as it was $1099 no tax, free ship, but I was at first sketch on the vendor.

$1200 for a Legion with an R1P? Deal!

I think I paid $1350 or $1399 and thought it a fair retail deal.

I am hoping this one goes for about $600....and I don't have to bid against @88E30M50

Thanks ChrisK

Now for a 6mm arc barrel.

For some reason, they sent me a Vortex sticker.

In the country, hopefully.

I think I paid 1200 very lightly used from a member here for 226 w/ R1P.

I think I’ve said it before, but if you want to shoot both before you make a decision just let me know. If your going to carmel for stuff I’m not that far.

I don’t mind the size of the 226 for carry, but I shoot just a as well with the 229 so kinda go that way more.
