I've used a branch for a rest, but I've never tries bagging one first?

    Morning, all!
Really you've never used bench rest bags?
These aren't the greatest but work okay for the price. You might try some maybe something better if you can afford them.
I used to use sandbags in my younger stronger days, but that's way to heavy to tote around.

Have you tried it from a lead sled or some other device to steady it?
I ask because since I got my lead sled it's improved accuracy testing over my branch rest bags.

    Good morning INGO.
No because I can’t use a lead sled in in competition or most real world scenarios and need to hone my skills with what I have. And it would be one more thing to store/haul around.

My thinking is if you used one you probably could shoot under an inch at that range.
It would be interesting to see how accurate it is.

Oooh! BENCH rest bags. Yeah, I've used those. Just not the branch rest bags you mentioned. :ugh:

Sub 1" at 100 with a 22lr is very challenging! Not saying it doesn't happen...but it takes solid gear, top notch ammo and perfect wind conditions.

If you're looking to do any benchrest shooting or dialing in for accuracy I suggest this. Very affordable and not to bad to transport.

Solid rest for the money. You have to spend ALOT to get anything better....

I can shoot groups with these bags just about as good as anything. They are like driving a Chevy Metro compared to the Lenzi being a Maybach - but they both get you to the same destination.

Does that make it open class to use a sled? Assuming so.
If I can use a Bandit analogy, bringing a lead sled to a open class competition would be like using a stock Ford Model A in a drag race against a C8. Yes it can be done but don't expect to be competitive.
