I need a private range day. Hopefully next week I will have my Shield, and I can do some serious work with it and my omega.
What happened to needing the fotay for better penetration of heavy clothing in the winter months??
I had to be realistic about wants and needs. I will just have to settle for shooting them three times as much.

The 40 in the Shield is not bad at all, you will enjoy it.It's my first fotay, so there will be a learning curve with it being so small and light.
Sounds like a plan. I'm still sticking with my Sig TacOps 1911 with 10+1 rounds loaded and a spare 8 round mag sitting next to it.
I am moving three guns over the next couple of weeks. I need to get the ammo cabinet stocked up and that just wasn't happening.
I know what that's like. Hard to keep it in stock when I shoot so often...lol!
I will soon need to keep four calibers in stock. I may need a second job.
I have 9, 45, 223, 22 in the regular rotation. 12g sometimes...also have a 30-06 that hasn't been shot in years
That's why I went with the AR last night. My HD rifle is a light equipped DD M4A1. It sure felt good to have that last night. The downside was that the pants I put on only had the holster for my Sig 938. I didn't have time to swap holsters and the 1911 from my shoulder rig was in the lock box.I seem to be on a "not enough ammo" kick lately. When these unexpected drills happened I wondered what would happen if there were three of them instead of one. I have solved that to my own satisfaction.

Sucked to have that big ole 45 sitting there and no way to carry it.
I've limited my caliber to only .380, 9mm, .40, .45, .357, 38 Spc, .223, 7.69x39 and 7.69x54r.I gave up on .22lr. I just wasn't having any fun shooting it. The bad shoulder forced me to give up on the shotguns and "big" rifles.

I gave up 6.5 Swede for SHTF. I may need to get rid of a few more too.

Ammo is cheap right now.
WTB usuall knows where the best deals are found.
There's good on-line deals to be had and I've seen quite a bit in the for sale forum too
