Why that round is so un-liked.........:dunno:

I still don't know why that round has so many haters. It's one of my favorite rounds to shoot and reload for. My favorite is a .45, but plinking with a .40 is fun too. And yes, I even enjoy it through my G27. A G23 is still with me and is waiting quietly for this 1911 infatuation to die back down so it can see some holster time again.

This would make a great project gun...
and you don't have to replace all the internals and such.
Send it to AllenM for a bead blast & ceracoat or just send it back for re-blueing

Now that's a deal on a Les Baer I wish I could jump on. I'm not a fan of the grips and magwell, but with a reblue and a nice set of walnut double diamonds, that gun would be back to it's full glory.

Just cleaned my Les Baer from shooting it Sunday... nicely made firearm.
Is it wrong that I used my Glock punch tool to remove the firing pin assembly for cleaning... :stickpoke::p

The 75B/.40 is now the carry gun. Once I get the P09/.40 fully Cajunized and it passes its tests it will be the primary HD gun. I am pretty happy with this arrangement for the winter. So, what next? I would really like to try a 75 Compact in .40. I have had a P06 and didn't like its shooting characteristics very much. Barrel rise on that model is, to me, excessive. So, I think the all steel compact models might be the answer. The full size 75 handles the .40 very well and is a very nice shooter. The Compacts in .40 are rare and there have been reported magazine issues, much like the 40P, but it is worth looking for, I think. I would love to find a 75 Compact with an alloy frame and safety. These were produced for the Israelis and occasionally show up as surplus guns. I know IGM has one. I think it would be a good addition. Failing that I might try a P02 if one can be found. I also need a 75B for next summer. I will probably go the surplus route on that one. I think I would like to get one of the beat up ones and get it Cerakoted in Tungsten. I think that would be pretty sharp. Okay, done with my early morning ruminations. Have a great CZ day. :koolaid:
