    Too much freedom...

I've very happy living in a "freedom obsessed" country. It is a much more pleasant experience than living under a political system where your rights can be restricted by 51% of the population. No one should be subjected to the tyranny of the majority.

Anymore, freedom of the press just means the power to control information.

Instapundit periodically uses two quotes that really sum this up well:

The State of Michigan is going to investigate, find out who's fault it is, and punish them.
The State of Michigan is who is at fault.

    Mmmmm.

It looks like Hong Kong is tagged to be swallowed up by the chinese communists.
Hong Kong was the only bright spot in that whole damn country.

HK is the financial hub between China and the outside world because they are considered trustworthy and responsible. That will take a serious hit when they are controlled by a nontrustworthy regime that couldn't even honor their transition agreement.

Agreed! If china does swallow up Hong Kong it will be a stupid move - not that that ever stops them.

Guy at Kroger today wearing his "**** NAZIS" t-shirt. I guess just wanting to let everyone know his mom didn't dress him this morning.

    I agree with him.
    **** Nazis.
However, he and I may disagree with who a Nazi is.
I would use, as my frame of reference, the kind my Grandfather killed. The kind that left him some battlefield souvenirs, that he hung on the wall in the guest bedroom, a dagger and a sword. The kind that silenced dissent, and believed in the power of the State.
The other fellow, is probably the kind that silences dissent, and believes in the power of the State.

There's one image I love to show people, like the one wearing that t-shirt.

The quote actually comes from a book called "Troubling the Waters: Black-Jewish Relations in the American Century" -By Cheryl Lynn Greenberg
Those types would be just as fast to call those that fought and killed the nazis, nazis themselves.
