But the shooter was, indeed, stopped by a good guy with a gun.

Looks like "workplace violence" as of right now. He was allegedly asking people if they were "TSA"

requiring a background check
and banning assault riffles
allowing only the cops (TSA) to have guns

doesn't prevent crime if one has the intent to do harm?

But, Piers Morgan doesn't hesitate to use the term. He can say the made-up "assault weapon" all he likes... but saying "assault rifle" is completely false.

Hope it isn't a test to see how far an individual could get in so they could escalate the attack next time. That's a huge tactic overseas.

AR means Armalite

The types of rifles we purchase, non class-3, are simply rifles. "Semi-automatic Rifles", if you want to be more specific.

"Assault Rifles" are capable of full-auto fire, and are more attributed to the military-style rifles.
