I was a light infantry soldier and see things thru that bias but I still think tanks serve an important role in offensive operations as part of a combined arms team. That means operating with infantry, artillery and air power. These days armor probably does need an active protection system such as the Trophy system to remain viable. Just an old guys two cents.

It is bad enough our government is stealing from people based on who their friends are or under what country the originate from,but now...now we are going to pay others to steal and give them legal cover in our country. One thing I can assure you,Americans will not be the only ones our government hands letters of marque. It is disgusting and against everything we stand for...well what we stood for. Seems times have changed at least for those in government

Could just be the video but the explosion and sound sounded much larger than a typical small truck mounted rocket attack.

You are going to need to have the right letter from the government and pay for your bond.
Per the bill
"(b) Security bonds.—No letter of marque and reprisal shall be issued by the President without requiring the posting of a security bond in such amount as the President shall determine is sufficient to ensure that the letter be executed according to the terms and conditions thereof."

In other words the "president" chooses the amount of your bond giving them control of who the "pirates" are.

Side note. If you want to trade with Russia for anything(like 3 us oil firms are doing) you go through Israel as they have no sanctions against Russia and are processing billions a day in US dollar transactions with them. Yes,our government is aware and sanctions against Israel may actually happen...because why not **** off our only real ally in the middle east.

May as well **** off India while we are at it...oh,sorry they are a step ahead of me already.
