In another thread, I reminded a couple of members about keeping things civil and about the discussion, not about the people involved in it. In doing so, I remembered this thread and a couple of posts I made in it, specifically #480 and #482, in which my comments specifically addressed issues I took with mrjarrell's posts and defense of Obama in re: his apparent snub of the officers who were executed in NYC. I still believe that mrjarrell was wrong on those points, but I regret that instead of just disagreeing, I became disagreeable, and that is not acceptable to me.
mrjarrell, I'm sorry I made those comments personal. I hope that you can accept this apology. I can't unsay what I said, even if I delete the posts, but I can work to keep my own future posts within the standards set here. Most of the time, I do, but this was an exception, and one I plan to remember and not repeat.
