A BIG **** you to paypal!! Had this happen myself and it was a pain in the ass! Commie bastards! I boycott paypal. I do not use it. It's cost me deals on here before (from sellers only accepting paypal). But boycotting them (paypal) is worth it. I understand all the people who love it and say how secure it is. Yeah it is until it isn't or until the communist foreigners running paypal decide to freeze YOUR money! In my case it was a few thousand dollars which I eventualy got thanks to a good and understanding customer who reversed his transaction and we did the deal another way. and on a ebay refund they forced me to take the $10o or so refund via paypal and therefore I never got it. Can't even get mailed a check if you don't give them sob's your bank info and first born child.
if paypal and ebay got raided by the govt I would cheer. Probably the only time I'd cheer for this govt.
oh I forgot about the account that we had frozen due to selling an AK-47 stock.

Okay, let me see if I have this straight. PayPal is owned by Ebay and Ebay uses PayPal for a large percentage of it's sales. PayPal's TOS aren't gun or gun parts friendly and they have frozen, cancelled, limited (by the way, what exactly what does "limited" mean?) accounts and they hold money that isn't theirs for long periods for selling guns and/or gun parts or items specifically related to guns (AK-47 stock for example). But I just logged onto Ebay and can buy parts and pieces for guns as well as holsters and such all day long. I entered Sig Sauer in the search and got over 12.000, yes 12,000 hits for items related to Sig. Holsters, grips, BARRELS, you name it. And this is just for Sig. I can buy parts and related items all day long 24/7/365 on Ebay, but they won't let one use their payment division be used to buy those parts on their auction site. Probably only after one has large $$$ in their account. Hmmmmmm! Hypocrite much???? Apparently yes. HUUUUGE!!

I guess the almighty buck is still king, no matter what the politics. They lose a certain percentage of sales (but many find ways to make the sales anyway so Ebay still gets their cut) but won't turn away the biggest $$$. They are just using PayPal to make their political statements. All the more reason to tell them to go pound sand and kiss one's ass.

If I were a Liberal I would maybe sue them in court for some kind of equal treatment violation or something similar. That is the way Libs go after things when they feel they aren't being treated "fairly" isn't it. Some kind of equal treatment deal or some such. Drag the company through the mud. Oh but that would only work in the other direction wouldn't it. :n00b:

Don't think anyone else has mentioned how often you have to tell buyers; NO GUN WORDS. And still some nitwit will use some cute thing like; "ammo spring box". They just have to twist the nips of PayPal. On your account. Sorry to hear of your troubles.

I think we were fine before because our system did not provide shopping cart contents to the PayPal system. I believe are
Does, and they likely have filter set up to screen for that.

we have had people commenting they purchase ammunition from Cabela's using PayPal routinely.

Since INGO was born, I've bought/sold/traded all over our state...without the aid of PayPal.
In addition, even before INGO, I bought/sold/traded accessories/tools (and one FFL to FFL firearm) all over the country (and still do)...without the aid of PayPal.
Who needs them? They're a pain in the caboose. Just drop them. If there's some benefit to using them, I sure don't see it...so somebody clue me.

Had a similar issue about 9 years ago. I quit using eBay after that. I despise the company and PayPal and what they represent. I refuse to feed the beast.

Some people will only pay with Paypal because they think it is more secure perhaps?

    ^This!
PayPal started with that tag line.
They got the masses to use them with the notion that the vendor would never see their credit card numbers.
So for people afraid of buying online and giving out their CC #, PayPal was the alternative. You could buy online 'safe' from vendors that accepted PayPal.

JetGirl what do you use for your buys/sells/trade then? You don't go the 'plastic' route then?

Kinda like you cannot mention tobacco products in purchases, yet some large cigar retailers accept payment through paypal.

Also much like the escort service....we all know what really goes on, but give it another name and nobody cares.

For piddly stuff, I send small cash. (Like a twenty or a ten)... for larger amounts, I'll send money orders. I always send it with a tracking number and sometimes request a signature. I advise people paying me to do the same. Then we exchange tracking so we can both view exactly where the money is, and the item when it ships after payment is confirmed.

Do you run a business or just sell/buy on the side like a consumer?
Just asking as when I was running my biz **BEFORE** taking CCs my sale numbers were low. Once I allowed CCs my figured went up. Customers (at least mine) are CC addicts.

You pay for company and anything beyond that occurs between consenting adults. Stupid Craigslist flagging ads made it really hard for me to find a decent date to take to my family Thanksgiving dinner. :xmad:

I try not to use anti 2nd amendment services, and I haven't used paypal. Getting a MO isn't that hard IMO

I refuse to deal with anti 2A companies myself. I have yet to see any proof that PayPal is antigun. :dunno:
The business decision to not accept gun related transactions certainly may not please any of us, but it does not make them anti gun.
