Oh, I saw something I don't usually see today. On my way from Fresh Thyme to Aldi, I saw a dude in a dress. He was standing beside the road by a Speedway gas station. Long stringy hair with a pinkish tint to it, heavy black rimmed glasses, long dress with black army style boots. :n00b:
Hey sailor you going to be in town long??

Good afternoon fellas. Break time. Been working outside all morning, wife even helped, trying to do stuff before all the heat. Mowing, trimming could have waited but it is done also. Should run the string trimmer yet and a lot of spraying should be done soon. Don’t know how much will be today. Having pre-lunch cool down & :40oz:then we shall see about this afternoon.

Took a short trip to the Strawberry Fest, blocking off downtown traffic to one lane through.

Two vendors with strawberries, about thirty with soaps, candles, tie dyes, framed prints, painted pots, some live plants, posters, jewelry, crafts of all sorts.

Now the old lady sitting there spinning yarn off her live rabbits looked fun. She was the highlight for me.

Music a little later. Stage is set.

    Hardly any strawberries!

    All priced absolutely insanely.
For instance $27 for a quart terra cotta pot with flowers scrubbed on the side.
    Hard NOPE.

The Blueberry Festival became the same way.
    Hardly any blueberry products.

    Sad to me!

It was before covid, but I can remember buying homemade strawberry pies at the fest.
    Strawberry muffins, fritters ...

Decent deal on a couple of qts of "picked this morning" strawberries, etc.

Gone are the days it seems.
    :(
