I have found when it comes to diagnosing the nuances of driveability problems it is best to take to the dealer. Any Joe Schmoe can fix the problems that are relatively obvious to a mechanic.
Make alot of money off dealers... I love seeing a truck come in on the hook with the deal tag on the rear view mirror cause they couldn't figure it out.

That Westforth Article is a pile of :poop:

    He did the background checks.
He attempted to stop 'straw sales'.

He doesn't have anything more than a 'feeling' in some cases?
    WTF do they expect?
A 'feeling' is all any other dealer has.

Why isn't anybody going after the POLICE DEPARTMENTS that AREN'T DOING THEIR JOBS.

Got a lot of strawpurchasers going to a store, a store that's doing the background check...
Then start going after the STRAWPURCHASERS!!!

But that would require the PD to assign men, and investigate.

    :xmad:

Easier to assign blame to someone else that has to spend $$$ to defend themselves, instead of an organization that can use YOUR $$$$$ to defend themselves.

    NOTE TO SELF

If a doctor says I'm going to cut a V notch in your bone, and break it, then run a couple screws through your foot, and cut off another hunk of bone, that is the time to set a gun on the exam table and ask a simple question:

    "Doc, is this gonna hurt?"

Sorry you had to go through all this Bob. My question is, how much pain was it causing before you had it done?

Second question / comment, take more pain pills? Hope it heals fast for you.

Every time I was there, there was a GPD breathing down my neck.

Pre-surgery pain was 24/7 but varied from very mild to annoying pain levels depending on the day. Progressively getting worse over the past year.

Pain pills would have worked better if I had taken one BEFORE the pain blocker wore off. But we went straight to Walgreens from the surgery center and the pain blocker wore off before we pulled into the parking lot. 20 minutes later my wife rushed out with my meds. Popped one in the car. A 2nd pill an hour later. Prescribed at 1 every 6 hours. I’m taking them every 3 hours.

I know I’m a big crybaby but damn!

Obviously already have a couple messages on the surgeons answering machine

So you're disregarding all the other info in the article? Such as faulty paper work?
    How much?
    How often?

Run a business over decades, pretty sure there's gonna be some errors happening.

I know I've spent too much time on the phone with the Indiana Alcohol Tobacco Commission, Indiana Gaming Commission, and such... trying to figure out various paperworks, getting different answers from people

I agree, but given that no gun can actually be sold without an official gubmint approval it puts the dealer in a tough spot. If you can't prove its a straw sale, have no actual evidence in front of you, and the gubmint says the sale is good then what is the dealer supposed to do?

Then, there was the time, the IRS lost some paperwork.
    It had been done.
And we even had the acknowledgement from the IRS that it had been received, and complete.

So, we sent them a copy of the paperwork again.
    They thanked us.
Then they fined us $50 per employee.
    8 employees.

When it was brought up, that they made the mistake, not us..
We were told that our building would be sold at Auction in April.

If we decided to go to court... IRS court, not real court...
We were told the next available date would be... July.

So.. IF the IRS decided we didn't make a mistake, our building would have already been sold off.

So.. I paid the fine out of my pocket.
We didn't have the money at the time.

3 years later... we received a letter, acknowledging that the fine was in error.
And, if we hadn't made a mistake, it would never have gone this long.

    The mistake, being THEIR mistake.

So, I'm not gonna hold my breath on a government official trying to possibly cover up something.

The agency that scares the crap out of me is the IRS.

They can literally make a mistake, destroy your life, and nobody involved in the mistake even has to apologize, let alone make amends.

My taxes are always professionally prepared, even since I retired years ago, because I want to make sure no mistakes are made. My taxes are not complicated, I just want to have both a belt & suspenders on in the event something is ever questioned.
