@KLB especially where you live you are better off going the tri-fuel route. Cans I suspect you can plant a big propane tank out in your property where as us 'city folks' have no room for that.
I meant Natural Gas, not gasoline:yesway: 20 kw with a full house transfer switch.

No. Most of the type I have replace the "reflector" type bulbs that you would use in recessed light fixtures. They are indoor flood type bulbs. I have them in a couple different sizes. But they are crazy expensive, depending on the size and # of LEDs used, they run from about $28 to about $36 each. Absolutely NO WAY they can save enough energy to pay for themselves in energy savings!!! But I really wanted to test them, to compare their light output, and considering that I am considering going "off grid" then any wattage I can save is a big cost savings in the cost of a potential solar array (if I decide to install one).

Also I have some of the "small base" candelabra bulbs that use something like 4 watts but throw off the equivalent of about a 25watt bulb. I think those are about $9 or $10 each. Like these => http://www.google.com/products/cata..._iqF4Wugwfy0cT4CQ&ved=0CJkBEPMCMAI#ps-sellers
