Not sure if he was an old guy but my dad fought over there in WWII. Was off the coast of Japan when Kamakazis were targeting his ship, his head was burned from the flames of one of the planes that flew so close to his head he got burned as it crashed in the ocean right behind his gun position. His ship was the most destroyed Destroyer in the history of the US Navy that never sank. They were up and down the Orient and from Alaska to Australia. He held his grudge against the Japanese until the day he died because of the amount of flak his ship took, the number of times he almost died. Went to the Hiroshima ground zero memorial and walked out with a group who were all in tears, dad said "should have done it again" and walked away.

So maybe the guy behind you has some story about the Chinese in his history? Maybe he was in Korea, as we fought the North Koreans who were backed by the Chinese.

I worked with a guy that fought against the Koreans. When he got elderly and decided to get a job as a Walmart greeter in Princeton, IN. Toyota built a plant near by and he told my Dad that when asian people came in he had to tell them welcome to walmart but he didn't have to mean it. I'm thinking he was holding a grudge too.

If someone harbors so much contempt for a culture that he has to use racial slurs to refer to every member of that culture, he has no business going to their restaurants.

    I would tend to agree.

My father did not patronize Japanese joints.

But never the less, the age and history of the customer behind you may be part of the explanation.

On the other hand, he might just be a jackass.

Look what people are bringing, usually listed.
Most will let you try theirs out.
Everyone chips in bringing some food. But usually first timers are exempt.
We hang out at the 25ys, but there is also 50, 100, 200 yds.

I did my first shoot in July. Lots of fun, and tons of stuff I probably would have never has the chance to shoot otherwise.

I also learned that Uzi Button brings the coolest toys.
