Just FYI ... the only issue I had with the Tenergy batteries had nothing to do with starting fires or not. I'm sure they are just as safe as any other battery. I just didn't know anything about the brand name. I might give them a try once I bring my stores down a bit.

Well some of the rechargeable CR123 and CR2 battery sites I was looking through warned against using rechargeable in the Surefire flashlights. What I was getting from the info presented was that they were prone to over heat because of some type of issue with the flashlights controller board resulting in damage to the flashlight or possible fire. If you guys are using them then they will be a immediate addition to my batteries and gear as I hate buying batteries and throwing them away...

I'd have to see the notices. I haven't seen any.
Over the years, I've seen a lot of batteries put in wrong.
In the old days, it would fry a component, and the circuit would be dead.
Then they designed circuits with protection against batteries being put in weird.
Now they've designed batteries with lots of more power.
    More power, more damage.

But maybe surefire has a note.
Most of the fires I've heard about were in the charger.
And the batteries were put in opposite of each other. Which was wrong.

Any of you guys hear/try that Veteran Beer Company beer? Just had it Friday and it was actually pretty damn good. Also think that the whole mission is pretty awesome too.
