NWI INGO General Post - Part 7

I'm guessing everyone visits INGO from PC's then, eh? Kinda quiet in here. Power just came back up in Lowell. Got some major cleanup to do at he shop tomorrow. Trees down, objects scattered and the cows are now in the wrong pasture... Electric fences only work when there is electricity.

We got luck out on the far far far west side of town, no power outages.

We have no internet at my home. Guess my antenna got blown off the roof?

One of the neighbors lost his fence, but the animals were in the barn. I lost a tree, had to pull that off the road. The neighborhood's sign, out at the road, snapped off at the ground. The sign was mounted on two 8x8 posts. At least one of the neighbors had some roof damage.

On the bright side, I got my Snow Trac started after installing a new battery.

No, I replied before reading the whole article, just reading your post. Finished the article and was going to go back and post/edit but got the call to board the plane.

We're wheels down In Charlotte, Indy leaves in an hour. Glad to be headin home. If we hadn't been cancelled due to weather, would've been back in NWI 24hrs ago.

Still anxious to see if anything happened to our house.

Odds are in your favor that nothing serious happened.

In my drives around the area yesterday afternoon, it looks like the most serious damages were isolated trees that were toppled. Some, but very few, homes had shingles that were damaged, and those were generally on homes that had obviously older roofs. Power outages were not too long lasting, although much of Lowell was out for quite a while. I haven't seen any real issues in St John, Schererville, Cedar Lake. My brother and my cousin, both of whom live in Munster report no issues.

Lowell area seemed to lose quite a few trees. I had one laying across the road. Sutton's farm, near me, had about a half dozen mature trees down. Random other properties in the West Creek area had the occasional downed tree. I saw one above ground pool that was collapsed by the wind.

You might want to buy some better tools to help with the tire changes. The ones that come with the cars suck.


Well, look like my Area Manager at work rejected my Return To Work.
Mainly because of a 20 pound lifting limit. He seems to be worried that I'll lift something heavy, and get an OSHA Recordable Injury.
So now I have to do something called "Work Conditioning".

Westforth's got me too. Stopped in Saturday and saw a CZ75 compact. I made it out of there but was back today. Oh well, it's only money.
