I thought it looked like tracers.

Right before the video there were about what sounded like 20 shots from a handgun. I got the ring in live mode and recorded what I posted. I also did not see anything shooting skyward like the trail from fireworks. Overall it was loud and strange. Another weird thing is that no one posted an alert on the Ring neighborhood about it. They post gunshot alerts all the time.

The lights that are flickering across the street and to the left are decorative lights that the neighbor has up that have something wrong with them, they flicker and go on and off at random.

When I was out today I drove around and did not see anything out of place. Quiet tonight and I am heading to bed.

    Good night John Boy

I'm gonna go with fireworks too. Probably shooting off from behind and slightly to the right of the FOV of the camera considering the way the light is hitting the trees. It's hard to tell 100% from recorded audio because it can be distorted but gunshots are more of a quick snap than fireworks which have a slightly longer, more gravelly sound. It's a very subtle difference sometimes like with firecrackers but play with both of them enough and you learn lol.

And those are definitely bugs flying near the camera.

I just planted 2 more apple trees (Stayman Winesap and Honeycrisp) and putting the hose on each tree gets to be a pain, so rain would be great.

Anyhoo, I returned home to a new A/C system last night. The installation is clean. Very professional. The guy is a one-man show out of Crown Point. Hard worker, responsive, skilled. If anyone is looking for some HVAC work, I will pass along his info.
