Anyone ever sit on a Federal Grand Jury ... I got a summons and am supposed to start on Friday. Never been called to federal jury duty before. No clue what to expect.

I've had summons. But they always resulted in me not having to go.

Nope, but it is different than sitting on a regular jury.

Does it say how long it is for? A guy at work sat on one in Chicago and it lasted a month.

That is what you get for registering to vote.

I have lost count of the times I've been called for County Jury duty. I have been seated 6 times, begged out twice and completed 4 trials.

My wife and daughter get called often for Federal Court, but always get called not to come.

I have never been called to a Grand Jury.

I do know that a Grand Jury hears evidence from the DA and then decides whether or not the case goes to trial or not.

I was wondering why you kept quoting it. I thought you were against it.

BTW ... they managed to push the movie out of 58 more theaters in just two days ... and it still broke the $2 million mark. Not bad for a crowdfunded movie with blatant opposition from the media and the lefties ... oh wait, I repeated myself.

I begged out of a fed case a couple years ago, it would have been a good one too. Though, once I got out and figured it all out, I knew a lot about the case. The questions did not click for me when they were asking. Work needed me at work.

I bought my parents the dna test. It seems to have connected my Dad to unknown relatives. My great grandfather from Minnesota was put on a train to Chicago at 12 with some money sewed into his pants. It was time for him to man up and get a job.

He sold cigars and ended up the bookkeeper at Berghoff's. His appendix burst the day the stock market crashed in '29. He died leaving his wife and my grandfather destitute. He had a bunch of land, but they couldn't pay the taxes on it, so it was taken.
