I started hour 15 minutes ago.
    How longdoes it take?

Well, I was “clean” by ~0730 the next morning. But it took me ~6-8 weeks before my digestive tract was really back to normal. I think I had more cramping and discomfort after the colonoscopy than in the prep.

You are NOT making me feel better.

Then again, I've had problems with that for years.
One of the things i'm trying to get checked out.
They sayit might be celiac disease. But it might be other stuff.
    I'm waiting for docs.

Yep. I was up hitting the head every 2-3 hours all night and at least once had substantial “leakage” before I could get out of bed.

Mmmmm. Maybe I need to find something to put down on the bed. Or lay in the bathroom.

When I was in intensive care, I had an oops.
Was embarrassing to call the nurse.
She didn't have a problem, and it was only a little tiny bit.
    Still... embarrassing.
If I could have, I would have changed the sheets myself.
But there was the whole "don't stand up" thing going on. And the 3 tubes and half a dozen sensors hooked up.

Maybe this “cleanse” will let you start over, bacteria-wise and it’ll be better? Because I swear there couldn’t have even been any micro-organisms left in my colon after I was done...

At some point, you will just lie on the floor in the bathroom to save commute time. Nothing like getting the wake up call. I remember thinking "This ain't that bad." Then, well, ever seen "Dumb and Dumber?"

I’d get an old towel and strategically place it over the bottom sheet. Or get depends. Call a friend. A good friend.

    Probiotic-up!
This. Your gut health is very important for your overall health. It helps regulate things including but not limited to your mood, energy, sleep, weight, digestion and a host of other things. There is a lot of research being done on the gut microbiome and a lot we are learning about it.

There a few different ways to improve it an obviously diet is one of them. I always recommend kefir because it's freaking delicious but fermented foods such as pickles, sauerkraut, kimchi and yogurt have a big impact as well.

And that's my biology lesson for the day! I recommend doing research on your gut health, it's very important!

There was a recent finding on long term probiotic use that showed that its a waste of money for the vast majority of people to use probiotics.

There is a small % of the population (I think it was about 10%) that can benefit from probiotic use, but even then those who can be helped need some specific probiotics. Healthy adults don't need them.

I guess I'll have to get my parents to get some for me.
Get some Activia to go with the pills. Take more pills than the bottle says, at least for a few days.

After a half dozen or more sinus infections a year for the last 10 years, I have gotten pretty good at getting my gut back into balance.
