    Any new "miracle products" out there for me to consider that are better for this undertaking?

    I was wondering the same thing last night cleaning up an m57. I used rem oil, brush, and patience. Came out ok but will go over it again soon and wasn't covered super bad like some I've seen. what did you pick up?

    Yugoslavian SKS - 7.62x39
    Russian M91/30 Mosin Nagant, 7.62x54R W / Matching # Bayonet
    Yugoslavian M48/M48A 8mm Mauser

    Was told WD40 would do the job. Was also told hot water mixed with Simple Green works too with the air compressor.

    It's been years since I cleaned one. Back when you could get your hands on 1,1,1-trichloroethane, it did a great job on that stuff. Not sure what people are using now. I've been told that mineral spirits works too. It's cheap so you can grab a gallon and an old tub and go to work.
