Perhaps we did focus too much on these sports under the "new shooters" banner or we should have names it "Attracting New Shooters to Action Sports."

darn right you should have,,,it was arrogant not to...

I can tell you this, I have never went into someone elses thread,

first off when you called it SHOOTING SPORTS,,,you made it MY thread...

if you would of called it ACTION SPORTS,,,I might have stayed away altogether,,,

not having shot that sport, and tried to tear it apart.

who says I aint never shot one of those sports??? know what happens when you ASS-U-ME???

aint torn apart one of those sports,,,and youre a foolish man if you think that i have,,that kind of discussion is just chocolate or vanilla

were talking about your strategies for attracting new shooters to sports,,,and yall really WANT to believe a certain strategy will work,,,instead of researching what actually DOES work in sales,,,and what really drives customers away...

ps,,,guess who just lost a lot of interest in going to an action shoot because of this thread???

OK, so let's hear of your successes. And your experience in the shooting sports.

Up until now all we have heard are the rants of a short time INGO member who spends the majority of their time in the Politics section.

If you are so knowledgeable, please do tell.

Arrogant...this seems like a pot calling a kettle black to me. You have supposedly punched holes in our approach, yet you have yet to give a viable recommendation. Many questions have went unanswered?

If it is a negative, condescending person we have turned away from action sports, then hallelujah! :yesway:

Best of luck with what you do

and thats why american corporations are dying...people in america are afraid to speak the truth,,,instead,,,they are pressured to go along with a group,,,thats usually wrong...and acts based on what the group wants,,,instead of what the business need is...

Kinda sounds like your refering to a Democracy VS. A Dictatorship. Since that is all I am seeing from you. Ill stick with a Democracy. Thanks anyway. Some of the largest and most succesful companies in the world are ran by a group of people.

In my many years I've noticed a self invited, unwanted member of a group, if ignored, just,,,,,,,,, goes,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, away.

If you are so knowledgeable, please do tell.

how many times i gotta keep going over this???

a few of you here are presuming a whole lot,,,like youll ever be able to increase your numbers,,,sounds more like cheerleading than any serious sales strategy...

SALES 101---people only do anything for one of two reasons---pain or pleasure...

in sales,,,youre going to get objections...you have to spend LOTS of time overcoming objections... telling someone to --SACK UP-- will just get you fired from the sales staff...this isnt the military...and a lead will turn and walk with that comeback...

back to pain and pleasure,,,yall are ignoring a whole lot of pain a guy will have to go through to join yours OR ANY shooting sport... just because you see net pleasure at the end,,,dont mean someone else will see it the same way...

    THINK LIKE YOUR CUSTOMER

where are potential customers??? how many different groups are you targeting??? what does each group want to know???

what are you selling,,,and why do i care???

sticking your head in the sand and yelling at the guy with the objection wont let you convert a lead to a sale...

some of you have the passion to sell the sport,,,but you need patience,,,understanding,,,empathy,,,and listening skills to sell... dont be the wrong tool for the job...

some of you might just be too thin skinned,,,too defensive,,,and too egotistical,,,to sell anything to anyone... selling is all about the customer,,,if you want a new customer,,,they get to run down your sport,,,you have to TAKE IT,,,listen to their objections,,,and repackage it as reasons why they SHOULD try it out... most of you just arent up for this...from what ive seen... total wrong attitude for sales...

so far,,,there is nothing but MASSIVE SALES FAIL from the cheerleaders in this thread... but,,,what youre doing in getting and keeping the word out is good,,,you need to keep doing that as a minimum...provided that you arent turning people off at your 1500 booth... have you ever sent a guy to your booth without the booth staff knowing,,,to get feedback off your pitch???

how does it FEEL to shoot your game??? get face time with a prospect,,,and sell the FEELING... when youre done,,,that FEELING needs to be much higher than the equipment cost,,,schedule dispruption,,,potential embarrassment,,,desire to shoot other sports,,,image problems,,,other demands on time that come from shooting your game...

but keep trying --SACK UP--,,,that will reel them in...same goes for telling anyone with an objection to quit running down your sport... you pull that,,,the lead walks...

also,,,when a prospect has an objection,,,be sure to ask them what their scores are,,,since they know so much,,,thats a guaranteed way to convert a lead....

    YOUR WELCOME

Endless shrimp is great! I think TH was the last time we did it, or I did anyway. It was a fun time with a couple feisty waitresses who outright handled rhino and Coach. :boxing:

Machete, your biggest failure her is you don't understand we're NOT trying to sell YOU on the sport, we're trying to get you to go away because you're a complete a s s hole .....

and your failure is thinking that youre going to able to sell it to anyone,,, because nobody wants to be around a cactus leaf like you...

youre not a good ambassador for the shooting sports...

people like you are bad faces to put on shooting activities...

Im going to have to try the endless shrimp deal. I also want to meet the two ladies that handled those two! Sounds like a great time. Just have to convince the others to go along. I'm sure Josh would be in for it and pretty sure about Bart just dont know about the other one.

Yep. You are a prickly one.

I had one this year and another jumping on for next year.

Mongo, it was quite a site. They handled all 15 of us without a hitch. It was a sight to see.
