Or you can tell me where they are and I'll get them for you.Ok, so if they are out, pick em. I was going to ask that because yesterday I was walking 10 acres of woods my parents own and found a patch of 10 or 15 that must have just popped up. Ill go back today and grab em.
The way I learned was to trim the bottom of the stem, slice the mushroom in half (longways) and soak them in water. You'll need to rinse and soak a couple of times. Some folks will put a little salt in the water as well to kill the bugs. They should keep for a few days if they are soaking in water.lol, a lot closer to me than you!
on that note, how do you keep these after you pick them? throw them in the fridge? freeze em? fry them immediatley? Ive cooked them before, just dont know how long they will keep for.
I would say they'll be good for a few days, but you want to keep them in the fridge. Freezing them is always an option as well.but how long can you store them like that? and do you refrigerate them?
+1 they don't grow after they pop...pick'em!!!!
Looks like it might be a good year.
