Mushroom season in?

I went looking today and found one deer antler, a six foot black snake, and a perfect arrowhead, but no mushrooms.

Still a bit early for north of Indy thats for sure. But they will be a coming.....

My mouth is watering just thinking of them....

I went out today while pulling maple taps and didn't see any yet, but the other indicator plants haven't really come out yet so I wasn't surprised.

Took a nice walk today, just south of Terre Haute, but didn't see any...

Bring on the warm weather, but I'm guessing I'm still a couple of weeks away from seeing any. There is nothing better than fresh sponges. Another thread talked about crappies. Those 2 are a great springtime meal. Too bad asparagus are a little later.

You think you have it bad! I actually have had to walk to the OTHER side of the house to find the batch that has been popping up the last few years.

We found the most of them right by my house and barn last year.

I posted that pic from my phone so I didn't notice there was snow in that pic. We are just starting to see some green pop up in the last week.

Nice. My grandma said she found a couple where she hunts near Linton today.

I walked around outside my garage for a few today and didn't see any yet.

Went for a couple hours this afternoon with two buddies in northern Brown County and Monroe County. We found about 50 between the three of us but it was hard looking. Mostly singles, with a few groups of 4-5.
