I had a bread sack in my pocket yesterday, just in case, but didn't see any.

Been finding a steady amount of blacks last few days. Had salad with morels, pasta with morels and fried morels for lunch today.

Spent 5 hrs in the woods this morning, nothing! The may apples were just starting to come up, after the rain Monday, Tuesday should be a good day.

They logged the area I usually hunt a couple of years ago, its been tough to get back on any. A day walking around poking in the woods and comming up empty handed, is still better than a day at work.

I had a mess of them with my deer loin and asparagus this afternoon....but they were some I had dehydrated from last season. I haven't found any this spring. Middle of this week should find some.

My brother texted me a couple pics today of some he found in Westfield. He said they were small and decided not to pick them just yet.

I pick them no matter the size. Once they pop I don't think they'll grow much more than what is already there.
