Sonofmaximus on his 1100 Shadow ACE toady.
Had his motorcycle endorsement for all of 2 months and he's all... "I don't need jeans or gloves... I got a helmet."
At least he doesn't tell people his pronouns when he meets new people.

I put about 300 miles on riding down to Indy and back, plus cruising around with him.

OK, I’ve only almost done this once, but I caught myself before it went too far. That was enough to teach me.

However, I had never ridden a Ducati before and a buddy let me ride his 999. All went well until I went to park it when I didn’t know that Ducati stands are spring loaded and you have to keep your foot on it all the way down (they flipped themselves back up, unlike most other stands). I let my foot off of it and went to set it over when it fell. Bummer. No real damage except a bent clutch lever and I threw him $100 bill.

He should’ve warned you about that. The only time I’ve ever dropped a motorcycle was rolling it off the center stand washing it in my driveway. Kinda sucked, but I sold it with the scratches on the fairing with full disclosure and that was probably 35 years ago.
