MDA, and most anti-gunners, are not equipped to deal with facts.
They can only deal with emotion.

Because, the facts show they're wrong.

There were times when she looked at me with utter contempt, but once or twice I could see her wheels turning and she showed a spark of contemplation.

She did say they were pushing for UBCs. I'm kicking myself for forgetting to mention that Indiana had one for more than two decades and repealed it.

While mentioning that, mention that it wasted money (A LOT) that could have been used on more useful things, like actually fighting crime.
    Same with the wasted manpower.

Didn't Canada get rid of theirs?

They still have background checks. They got rid of their registry of unrestricted/not-prohibited guns in 2012 after 10 years, several hundred million dollars (but they were Canadian dollars, eh? So not so much!), and no meaningful impact on crime rates, murders, etc.

I believe these folks really want to do something, but trying to do something on denial and emotions will not solve anything. It seems as they want to deny facts... :dunno:

This is absolutely insane.. Pretty sure pictures of guns is not causing the problem.

I checked his petition earlier today. It's only generated four supporters in two days, one of them being the idiot that started it.

They want to stop that. They want you not to be able to teach kids.
They want to phase out the guns if they can't outright ban them.

    Yep.

I'm pretty sure the kid who got suspended (temporarily) for liking a picture of an airsoft gun might disagree. Sure caused him some problems.

    Truth.

A picture of a gun did not cause the problem. The retardedness of someone in a position of authority caused the problem.

    They know that.

Their purpose is social engineering - i.e. to stigmatize and ostracize firearms, much the way that cigarettes were treated: making them taboo, removing them from movies, hiding them from public access/view at every opportunity.

Eric "in contempt of congress" Holder spelled that out.

Those Do Gooders never really think through their strategies. My son grew up during the War on Cigarettes.

So the kids have it drilled into their mind that drugs are really bad.
    - Just Say No to Drugs
    - D.A.R.E.
    - Zero Tolerance Policies

Then all these experts throw Cigarettes into the same bucket of evil as Drugs.

Now the kids are offered confusing examples.
    - Kids put on a regimen of drugs by doctors at the prompting of school systems for being kids so drugs must not be that bad
    - Grandpa and Aunt Sally smoke cigarettes so they must not be that bad

All of a sudden there are drug problems in school because what the Do Gooders tried to make an all encompassing evil turned out to be acceptable in certain situations.

Their anti gun campaign will turn around and bite them in the butt someday.
