but,
Hitler was anti jew/gay etc he was not anti religious. he was a christian
he said himself
"As a christian I have no duty to allow myself to be cheated but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice."
Hitler was not anti-religious. he just hate one religion. Not all.
Yes the communist are atheist. Which interesting tid bit, Our money now says in god we trust and under god was added to the pledge in the 1950's as a way to combat communism. The original pledge was written by a socialist and did not contain under god. Our money also used to say E pluribus unum which means, out of many, One. Which is what this country was founded on.
To imply that all religions follow a god is ignorant. to force little buddhist kids to say under god every morning at school is just plain insulting.
I for one believe the pledge should be converted back to its original state, and our money should also be back to his original state.
You want to follow sky god from the bronze age? Have at it, you want to follow in the way of the Buddha have at it. You want to worship the great FSM. Please have at it. But please don't stand in town squares preaching at others. And please keep it out of government control. the bible has no place in government and the government has no place in religion.
Hell, even the christian bible says
Matthew 6:5-6
And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
