Fine, I'll invent one then. Take some of the workload off of you guys.WE get enough entertainment just herding the cats. No need to invent any more.

Oh, INGO has already thought of that.If things get really boring around here the staff can create an account specifically to implode over several threads. But everyone has to be really good for a really long time.
One of the recently hammered's behavior led someone to speculate if the Mods were doing this for entertainment. I'm looking forward to the day we can do this!
Sounds like a call for a Cheeseburger Summit!Had to sit through a Teams meeting yesterday. It's useful for bringing people together from across the country. Yet it will never replace the effectiveness of a face-to-face meeting.
FIFYSounds like a call for a Pineapple pizza Summit!
That depends upon the meeting I guess. Other than the delay in IP communication, our meetings are every bit as productive as they were in person, and we have a lot of them. IT people like to have meetings.Had to sit through a Teams meeting yesterday. It's useful for bringing people together from across the country. I agree. But then I'm naturally anti-social.I always thought most meetings could be replaced by a well worded memo...
I think it might be a generational thing. For us more seasoned folks, if the bosses are just telling us what they want done and really don't want our input. Why have a meeting? Just tell us what you want done.I agree. But then I'm naturally anti-social.
The ones that are really fun are meetings to plan... other meetings.I think it might be a generational thing. For us more seasoned folks, if the bosses are just telling us what they want done and really don't want our input. Why have a meeting? Just tell us what you want done.
Often the issue is so few are capable of a well worded memo... or even reading one for that matter.I always thought most meetings could be replaced by a well worded memo...
I have friends that struggle to get their work done because the company has so many meetings put on by those whose job it is to put on meetings…I think it must be easier to do meetings than to do work. It also makes them look busy and very important.
Yep. Managers and directors need to have their meetings.I have friends that struggle to get their work done because the company has so many meetings put on by those whose job it is to put on meetings…
Yeah, I always liked the plant wide meanings. Haha, like they have any idea who all is in the plantI was always steered away from meetings. Coworkers seemed to think I would get time off, and they'd have to work more hours.
For some reason.
And I've avoided a few "mandatory pep talk" meetings by simply going home.
They kept scheduling me for the next talk, and I kept avoiding it.
Sometimes equipment would go down, and I'd have to miss the meeting to fix the equipment.
And then... no more meetings scheduled.
Oh darn.
