If things get really boring around here the staff can create an account specifically to implode over several threads. But everyone has to be really good for a really long time.

One of the recently hammered's behavior led someone to speculate if the Mods were doing this for entertainment. I'm looking forward to the day we can do this!
Oh, INGO has already thought of that.

Had to sit through a Teams meeting yesterday. It's useful for bringing people together from across the country. Yet it will never replace the effectiveness of a face-to-face meeting.
That depends upon the meeting I guess. Other than the delay in IP communication, our meetings are every bit as productive as they were in person, and we have a lot of them. IT people like to have meetings.

I do a lot of work for a .gov funded do-gooder organization. They occupy a grand four-story office complex, and every person has their snazzy cubicle with a window view.

Every time I'm there, no matter which floor I have to go to, I pass a conference room full of people in meetings, and nobody at their cubicles. Very serious stuff by the looks on their faces. I mean, I'm sure it's important stuff, but non-stop meetings?

I think it must be easier to do meetings than to do work. It also makes them look busy and very important.

But it is for the children, so it's all on the up-and-up, I'm sure.

I was always steered away from meetings. Coworkers seemed to think I would get time off, and they'd have to work more hours.
    :)
    For some reason. :dunno:

And I've avoided a few "mandatory pep talk" meetings by simply going home.
They kept scheduling me for the next talk, and I kept avoiding it.
Sometimes equipment would go down, and I'd have to miss the meeting to fix the equipment.
And then... no more meetings scheduled.
    Oh darn.

Yeah, I always liked the plant wide meanings. Haha, like they have any idea who all is in the plant :lmfao:

They never noticed me missing at least.
