Yes, it's is in poor taste, and yes, there are more white people on welfare... because there are way more white people, but hey, it's a joke, and it is funny. Lighten up and quit being offended by everything.

In most humor, someones ox gets skewered. Stereotypes get magnified.

Welcome to the joke thread. Please don't go all SJW Snowflake. Nobody's there yet but, mind your triggers people.
Lots of good folks of all stripes fit the situation described in the joke. It probably could have been told without reference to color and saved this strife.

Sorry to have triggered the snowflakes. Saw it on another forum, thought it was funny (and sad) so I copy and pasted it. It says a lot of the political climate in the nation these days. The left has been so effective at using the race card, religion card, politcally correct card, it has 2/3 of the nation scared to death to talk about things or even wish our friends and coworkers "Merry Christmas" for fear of offending them. Everyone must be a racist, bigot, homophobe, islamapobe... Hell, "racist" is very the first reaction to 85% of difference of opinion involving any white person with any non-white person thanks to the teachings of the left. This sad little joke shows that.



Sadly, so do some of your overreactions.

Even in a so called "family forum". Families should be able to talk about things, all things, that are going on in the world. That is how we discuss what is going on in the world. I have a daughter in the LGBT community, and if our family wasn't open to talking about things I would never know what the hell was going on in their world. My kids tell us everything about what is going on at their schools. They are both at different colleges. BTW, Ball State seems to be full of drugs... just so you know.
