    Wednesday: martial arts

Thursday: circuit training--jump rope, jump ups (we jump up on oil change ramps) and weights

    Friday: private martial arts lesson

Saturday: martial arts and then yoga on Saturday afternoon. In yoga we did some awesome restorative poses.

One was the brick under the mid-back, the supported back pose:

The other was a side pose that really helped with locked up shoulders.

    Sunday:

Martial arts in AM and then I'll jump rope or run after leaving office.

    Today was leg day.

    4sy4d4.png

608 lbs tire plus the wheel (maybe another 450 lbs :dunno:).

    0 rep done. :):

Not sure what size tire people use in crossfit gyms.I'm guessing not that size.

lol. Nice effort! We don't usually use that size tire. However, the idea is to lift it with your legs, not your arms. Hard to explain, but kinda like a football playing leaning into the sled and pushing it. You get down low and push forward with a slight upward push. Once you get it near vertical, it's really not that hard to flip it.

But it will tear your chest up. No way around that.

Well I couldn't lift it with either arms or legs.
No way I could get it vertical. It wouldn't even get 1mm off the ground.

I need to try with a small tire (and no freaking wheel in it).
They now do machines to replace just flipping a regular tire.

Really!? A tire flipping machine? It looks like it pivots around it's center of gravity. I'm sure it's good exercise but won't feel like a real tire.

I've been jogging nearly every day now and am finally getting faster and going farther. I have been thinking about doing the Spartan run at Perfect North Slopes but my team of buddies hasn't signed up yet. Anyone here planning to attend?

They have to find ways to sell useless machines.
You can get a used tire for free (or real cheap) and workout at home.
Not sure sure why anyone would pay for something that replicates a free thing.

And I now just checked the price ... :n00b:

That machine is 1,800 USD too.

Recycled tractor tires can weigh hundreds of pounds, making them a hazard to equipment, mirrors, and other exercisers who may happen to get in their way when mishandled, rolled out of control, or flipped off-balance in a direction not intended by the athlete

Yeah I'm sure hundreds of people get killed by crazy loose tires in gyms every year.

TireFlip 180 Functional Training Machine for Tire Flipping -- The Abs Company (TIREFLIP-180)

You can get 4 new tractor tires for that price.

When I first got to the site I thought that maybe is has a place in a gym for functional training. But then I watched the video.:) What a joke! Everything they did could be done on a box or a bench. And the tire flipping appeared to be basically a bicep curl instead of using the legs to get the tire upright.

I wish them the best selling those!

    I know!
Spending 1,800 USD to do raised push ups where you could just use a chair.
