Fishnhut that time is incredible, nicely done! I want to see if I can get a few extra reps in. Not planning to finish but if I can get to last set of burpees it would move me quite a bit on the leaderboard.

I read some early stats that a lot of athletes timed out on this one. You guys that are finishing; hat's off to you! Good work!

Games.crossfit.com, check out the leaderboards. I'm "Brian Hartman", you can search by athlete. I'll be bottom half of scaled for sure. Unless a bunch of people don't submit score :D

Thanks, Doc. Trying to be happy with it lol, a buddy of mine beat me by 40 seconds in the next heat. :( I wish I'd gone a bit faster to begin with, but I did do better than I thought I would.

ETA: I was judging him and yelling at him to keep going through the whole last round. Guess I should've kept my mouth shut! :):

I just redid it scaled, got 212 reps, 30 more than last time. I got two of the last burpees. I wanted to get to burpees so I'm happy with that. I just get so winded I have to take breaks to breathe.

Im still concentrating on Olympic lifting for one more year then Ill start doing Crossfit again. Im on a 5 day lift program from the Calstrength guys. I feel better than I have in a long time using their program. I got my mobility and speed back since starting the program Jan 1. Dialed my diet in tighter a few weeks ago, down to 202 from 212.

They have finalized times for the first workout. I looked at where I'd be in men's scaled rankings with my first effort of 182 reps compared to second effort of 212. By doing it again and pushing as hard as I could I jumped up 1097 positions! :rockwoot:

    Every rep counts

17.2 makes me glad I did 17.1 scaled since I can't do muscle ups.

My age scaled is 35# DBs for walking lungs, then knee raises
instead of muscle ups it's chin over bar pull-ups

I should be able to cycle through some of that

I bet you'll do fine. I checked my age scaled and I could do the workout. I'm 57. I talked to my coach/owner the other day to see if there was any tension/disappointment because I didn't sign up. He said he is always disappointed when people don't sign up, but that in my case just coming off a shoulder injury and knowing how I get caught up in the frenetic energy and push so hard that it was good that I didn't this year.

He did say, "next year I expect to see you there!" :) He's a good guy. I don't have to do what he wants, it's my time, money and life, but so far he has not steered me wrong in my quest to get more fit. He has throttled me back more than I would have and it has saved my bacon a couple times. CrossFit is only dangerous if you have poor programming, poor coaching, or poor listening skills.

Sounds like you've found a great place! Love hearing stories like this.

Looks like I'll be trying to find my bar muscle ups again tonight at the gym. :):
