I need to find a good workout for today. I could run perhaps.

I go to "Extreme Fitness Challenge" class at my gym, we have done the "weekend warrior" before.

    Run 1 mile
    500 jumping jacks
    400 squats
    300 leg lifts
    200 push ups
    100 burpees

You can break them up any way you want, just get them all done. The run has to be completed all at once.

they should add "1 kick coach in crotch" at the end of that

today was a lot warm up squats, like 120 or so
then back squat working up to weight
then 6x2 back squat at 225#
then "Fran", 21-15-9 thrusters and pull ups. I scaled with 35# thrusters and jumping pull up on 45# plates. I did it in 4:36.
Then I ran a mile in a 20# vest. Time to go rest.

    Today sucked.

    3 rounds:
    2 mins max calorie row
2 mins hanging power snatch (I did 95#)
    200m run

took me 18:40. My legs gave out on the row after yesterday's squats and run

Yesterday as part of class we had to do weighted squats. I had (2) 15lb weights. It is amazing how that much weight makes a difference. I have lost ~30lbs since the beginning of the year.

    :yesway:

So if you do squats with 30 lbs weights and also lost 30 lbs that like doing air squats? :dunno:

    That's what I was wondering.

For every pound you lose should you add that much weight to your vest or whatever to keep you at your original weight while working out?

I suppose you should be able to do more reps or workout harder/longer with the reduced body weight.

I over did it today. It doesn't sound very hard to walk / jog only 3 miles but do it in ankle to shin high surf. I started with shoes but they quickly filled with sand. Mile 2&3 barefoot. I'm sore everywhere + sunburned.

Arms are a bit tired today. My daily pushups are a bit of struggle this afternoon.

Not sure if I will get a workout in this evening or not since we have a softball game.

Thats a pretty serious workout plan. I just try and squeeze in what I can. I did get a 4 mile run in while waiting for the boy to finish his baseball clinic last night. Not sure what today will be. I am sore all over so may just run again.

Two hours per day, five days per week . . . That's a bunch of serious work. Are you training for a specific event or sport?

At 56, I can't hit the serious iron on back-to-back days anymore. The joints need that day of rest.

My shins were really sore today on jump rope so I adjusted fast feet up onto a 45 pound plate.

18 minutes of every minute on the minute 30 fast feet and five push jerk. My right thumb hurts badly with jerks and press so I kept it light and did 95#

Fun little chipper last night, and a good reminder about how bad I am at toes-to-bar. I get to make up my own workouts for a while since our gym is testing and I can't do most of the workouts.

    40 airdyne calories
    30 box step-ups, 24" (can't jump yet)
    20 toe-to-bar
    10 handstand push-ups
    20 toe-to-bar
