Just a heads up to anyone interested, saw a commercial on FOX59 for an upcoming story tomorrow night:

Can't help but feel they're trying to put a negative spin on the issue. Might try to stay up and catch the segment tomorrow night.

Just from the commercial, it doesn't seem like they're necessarily against carrying but you never know what the actual segment might be.

The title is "Loaded Weapon" and there is a pistol on a bar next to a drink glass. Hmmmm.

FOX59 has been pretty good with their gun stories in the past. Heck, they let me work there for nearly 3 years.

I don't like how they framed the promo but it is sweeps week.

A few years back I led an open carry walk on Black Friday and Fox 59 did the best story on it, the story was slightly biased but factually correct, hope this one is better

They had a thing thismorning talking about how "silencers" are legal and sales have skyrocketed. More shock & scare news reporting. They can all bite me

It could have been spun in this way to attract anti-gun crowds to watch (as if a liberal would be caught dead watching a FOX news show), and after roping them in, give them the truth in gun laws.

The deal with Georgia has drawn attention to guns in bars. I had a friend on Facebook this morning spouting off a bit about it. After I pointed out that it has been legal in Indiana for as long as I can remember, and here it seems that the shootings that we do see associated with bars or night clubs (we all know the news wouldnt pass up the opportunity to run that story) most shootings are by people who arent legally allowed to carry anyway, and have no reguard for the laws anyway. Making it illegal to have the gun in the first place is not likely to effect any change in someones behavior that is already bent on committing an even more serious crime.

The only response that she could come back with was "Wow! that makes a lot of sense, I guess its not that big of a deal"

I saw the nightly national news talking about the GA law...saw the anti's lined up wiht signs saying all the awful places guns would be allowed now...made me shake my head.

Saw a little bit of it this morning. Looks like Guy and maybe TitaniumFrost. Talked about people not knowing the laws for carrying. And a guy that kicked out of A zoo in Evansville, that is what made me think TF. Guy was definitely on.

I just hope there are as may LEO watching as averages joes. LEO needs just as much if not more training on the laws of Indiana and carrying. Most people dont know that you can tape a gun to your forehead and have a drink in a bar. Not that that is the brightest idea but still legal. Last encounter with a LEO for me what "Let me see your "permit" and cover that weapon up it must be concealed" HAHA. I am from GA and I am very proud of my home state for their new laws. One thing you can say about GA is they really cling their God, family, and guns! In that order to.

i first thought I saw an INGO shirt. But I didn't recognize the logo.
