I can just see the ad campaign now: If you can't eat bacon, kissing a girl who uses Uncle Oinker's savory Bacon Mints is the next best thing."
Just to let you know - I will be firing up the smoker and making that tonight!!!
One of my Xmas presents this year was a George Foreman grill.
I have to say, it makes perfect bacon. No need to flip and excess grease runs off. Quick, easy and oh so yummy.
Traditionally when people think of cooking bacon, we think of frying it in a skillet on the stove. While this is certainly a tasty method for cooking bacon, it also generates the fattest content from the bacon. Try oven baking your bacon instead. Place the bacon on a thin, shallow cookie sheet in a 375 degree oven for 12-15 minutes. Using this method for cooking bacon allows the fat to drain off the bacon easier. Cooking bacon in the oven also doesn't cause the bacon to draw up as it does when you fry it in the skillet. Oven baking your bacon is not only healthier for consumption but also more tasty and filling.
