I worked afternoon shift Friday and right back in on day shift at 0500 Sat. morning, I was home at 1330 and asleep by 1400.

About 1630 my family comes in the bedroom and says theres a car out at the road and either looking thru binos or a camera at our house. My wife went out the front door and the car went down a driveway or two and turned around. This gave me time to get dressed and grab my G19.

I went out the back door and by the time I got in the truck, the car had stopped in front of the house and was now driving away. I backed out the drive (200') backwards in record time, did a "J" turn squealing the 20" tires as I drove away in chase....

I passed the car and slammed on the brakes, angling my truck to block the road...... Of course we are all thinking its someone casing our house, nope a lady in her 60s taking pics of houses on a couple of rural roads for real estate comps.... WTF broad daylight on a Sat taking pics in front of houses !!!

Anyhow, she showed me the list, had different roads with names, addresses, mortgage co. names etc..... she had her real estate id/ card.I told her that they should call ahead first and at least give notice of what they will be doing. She was just about crying saying you didnt have to chase me down and stop me like that..... yeah well family first, MINE !!! I had my sidearm holstered, not sure if she saw it or not.

Ironic thing was the first car stopped on the other side of my truck was a deputys charger, I walked over recognized him as he did me, I knew his Dad real well when he worked for the town police. Told him what happened, he offered to talk to her but I said it was alright just drive by slow and wave your finger in a "NO" motion.... which he did.

I doubt they will send a woman back out in the redneck rural area to take pics......

My 20 y/o son is off on work due to a broken foot so he was backing me up from inside the house with his AR & ACOG, Mom asked him if he got away, he said no, Dad has him, and theres a sheriff that just rolled up too.

Very intersting, good to get the prepper exercise too. The whole family was on alert and involved, good to have backup.

Your first response should have been to call the police, not be a vigilante and commit several crimes in the process. Not to mention the additional crime your son committed while "backing you up".

This post sounds exactly like one listed earlier and much of the same opinion was expressed. (See "What's This World Coming To?" from Gunner 69 about 22 hours ago.)

If this actually occurred and this is not some stupid prank to get INGO members fired up, the way you handled the situation was beyond reason.

She had left the area when you "pulled her over". The woman should file a complaint and have you and ""your backup" arrested.

You are lucky she wasn't packing and didn't do something you definitely would have regretted.

If your "Family is First", you should have picked up the phone. Sounds to me like you had a temporary attack of cerebral paralysis.

Not too smart by any standard!

I'm going to take a wild guess and say that you're a troll. If so, well done. Master trolling status is hard to achieve but you're getting there.

    If not...

YOU are exactly the type of person that the liberal media paints ALL gun owners as. You're ready to kill someone for taking pictures of your house, and coming close to getting yourself killed in the process! (ie. you don't even know who's in the car)

Wow. I thought I had anger issues. Holy crap!

The only way this could be justified is if you owe a lot of bad people a lot of dirty money and you actually have people coming after you. In which case you should probably move.

So, you are allowed to use force to prevent or stop a felony, enact a citizen's arrest (in a felony situation, not misdemeanor), or prevent unlawful intrusion into your home, curtliage or occupied motor vehicle.

Lock and Load, which of these was that lady doing? Very irresponsible and over the top, Walter Mitty reaction. Prepper? You are not a prepper if your first reaction is shoot first or try to pin someone in. Put down TOM or FleaTaxi, pick up Jerry D Young. Gray man approach.

Not that you care, as you are the big armed man on campus, but this behavior makes me sick and is no wonder the media thinks Fudds should be disarmed. With the level of firepower that you speak of, you are a media frenzy waiting to happen.

Let us just hope the op is just yanking everyones chain. But then I gotta wonder why someone would do that on a site like this. If anyone thinks for a second the the libs, defense attorney s ect. dont prowl around on here I have news for you. I have heard of this web site being mentioned in open court on a criminal case for a idiot that decided to play cop. Heard it with my own ears, not second hand. Something everyone of us should keep in mind.

Having met Lock and Load (only for a transaction, but seemed like a decent enough guy), I would have thought he would have printed a "LOL just kidding" or similar and used the concept as a training idea (what NOT to do). But I see only a modification of his story of high speed chases and staring down the elderly menace that prowl our neighborhoods, endowed with photographical skills by evil land barons out to rob the innocent rural folk of their land.

The most entertaining part of this whole thread after the OP and then the revised version is the amount of people who do not take the time to read the thread before posting and saying they hope it is a joke even though it has been outed as such for almost 20 pages now. One closer to 50 for me.

Needs to review OPSEC if he is. How many people are wondering what he is hiding that would elicit that type of response (either fabricated or true whichever is which). Also have a good idea of his work schedule and who is in the home and who in the home is capable of armed resistance.

Most people that find themselves in situations like these are not bad people. I think their hearts are in the right place. They just overreact for what ever reason. As a result they sometimes find themselves in a whole lot of trouble. Trouble is usually just seconds away at any given time. If one does the wrong thing, a few minutes of bad decisions can result in years of heartache, regret and finacial ruin.

I'm all for giving someone the benefit of the doubt, but in this, I have to disagree with you. The OP has proven with his original "story" - true or not - that he is mentally unstable. What if the lady in the car had reacted in a different manner. What if she had balked at his horrid behavior. Would the nutjob on the porch have taken her out? Would the OP have become enraged and done it himself. You said yourself this situation was potentially seconds away from a fatality. And you think "their hearts are in the right place"??? Seriously?!?

I never said that the situation was seconds away from a fatality. Not sure where you got that notion. As for the mentally unstable part, I dont really agree with that. I dont know this guy and I am not sticking up for him but to say someone is mentally unstable for a one time incident that may or may not have happened is a little strong in my simple mind.

True, you didn't. Sorry to put words in your mouth. It was me who made that leap that "trouble" meant potential fatality. Because that's how I see it. But I stick with my unstable comment either way. If it went down like his original story, he has some anger/paranoia issues that make him unstable. If his original story was not true, he's a liar and still pretty twisted. As for being a one time incident - crazy is as crazy does.

I'm fairly certain that neither version of the story as told by the OP is true, but probably somewhere in the middle. My brain hurts.

Completely irresponsible. Cleavers kill more people in the US each year than assault weapons. Are you even trained to use a cleaver?

My cleaver is extra dangerous because it's painted black. Assault cleaver. :twocents:

Which one? The Beaver or Wally?:yesway:

I liked Wally, he was always a stand up guy and took responsibility.

All in all I have to say that I'm a bigger fan of The Beaver though.

    well played.
Beaver and cleaver in consecutive quotes.

Keeping an eye on this thread. It's like some combination of mall ninja blogs and the old Jim Varney commercials.
