Get what’s light and easy enough to actually carry and keep on you when you need it.

Get it in the same caliber as local LE or what your friends have.

Pick what takes the same magazines / holsters as local LE or friends have.

Glock 19 folks. It’s not interesting as saying CZ… but it’s more practical.

I've always said, if I get one shot to save the Earth from Martians, it's gonna be my DDR Makarov.

    Let the Haters hate! :):
CZ82 for me — same Commie 9mm round. Of all the guns, that’s what I would reach for in emergency, it fits me perfectly, I shoot it well and can hit things.

I carry a Gen 5 Glock 17 MOS for a living, but it wouldn’t be my first pick.

    HK P30 LEM:
    Hammers > Strikers
I really see merit for a DA/SA, and the LEM fixes the crappy first squeeze. When your brain turns into a soup sandwich under stress with a click / no bang, the heavy DA squeeze might be enough to defeat a hard or crappy primer. And it’s one of the most proven, and scientifically tested handguns on earth. Although I wish HK offered it in an optics ready model like the lesser VP9, it seem Langdon has figured out a really viable solution.

If I’m stuck with a striker, my Walther PDP Pro SD works best for me. The ergonomics are great, and it’s effortless to find the dot. And a standard PDP is no slouch. I just like the PRO trigger and I use my suppressor every chance I get, so the PRO makes more fiscal sense.
