The zoo trip, imho, isn't a good idea at the moment unless you just happen to want to go on your own. Organizing an OC event there right now would be rubbing salt in the wound and would likely only result in negative backlash.

I was thinking this very same thing

Salt is good for wounds - it's what they crave.

OC event might be bad, but an individual doing so would be a good thing, just make sure the zoo you go to is ran by the city and not privately owned.:rockwoot:

    I'll be there.

I'm wondering if everyone attending should safety pin a ribbon shaped piece of bacon on their lapel in support and solidarity ?:bacondance:

While bacon is a funny joke around here... I don't think it would be so funny in court. People are more likely to think we're all nuts than anything else. Sometimes you have to know where to draw the line.

And sometimes, some people around here, need to get a sense of humor.

I'm all for carrying bacon, but you need to use common sense. There is absolutely no reason to carry your bacon where everyone can see it. Nobody wants to see your bacon. Quit trying to intimidate people with your bacon. If they see your bacon, they may try to steal it. Keep it where nobody can see it, and when hunger threatens you, you can quickly whip out your bacon and eliminate the threat.

Friggin' John Wayne's flashing their bacon.

Just a note of curiosity, but where does it say that guns are not allowed at the Indy Zoo? I was there last week and although I was not OCing I did CC. But I checked all the online rules and printed rules that I could find and nowhere did it say that weapons were prohibited.

Perhaps instead of wearing bacon (grease stains are a pain to get out of a suit jacket) you can accessorize:

The Indianapolis Zoo is a Privately Run and Owned Organization that does have a no firearms rule. It is posted, but i couldnt tell you where if ya asked lol but anyway we do reserve the right to ask you to return the firearm to your car and return afterwards if we spot you carrying(if you refuse they can escort you off the premises, and will), now with that being said, LEO's are allowed to carry as long as their badge is visible

ETA: please don't shoot the messenger lol im just relaying what i was told during training
