Here are some of my observations from this video. Finished second or first loser.

0:06 too slow on first shot. Gun up on target and have not found the sights.
0:09 Gun dips down with no reason.
0:12-0:15 Shot a couple of deltas on the move. Should not have happened. Did better later in the match on the move. Since I inspected the targets I knew I was going low on these and adjusted.
0:17 Did not arrive to the position with the gun up. Too slow on first shot here.
0:19 Second shot on the no shoot protected target missed high left. Did not call the miss. Eye might have been closed.
0:21 Third shot not needed. Lack of shot calling again.
0:33 miss on steel the result of bad trigger control. I had the sight picture.
0:35 Gun dips down for no reason. Theme is developing.
0:39 third shot not needed all were Alpha. Poor shot calling. Perhaps a second theme developing.
0:42 Pretty happy with this array. Called these shots. Pretty happy with the pace considering the no shoot. But the gun dips down after the array.
0:45 1st position is too slow.
0:56 pulled off target on the second shot and missed.
0:58 good change of speed because of distance from targets.
1:00 stayed moving with good hits. Could have moved faster.
1:02 Gun to low. (Jesus, Mary and Joseph keep the gun up)
1:08 look at the wheels! I could have run a little faster but I would have fallen on the curve.
1:13 six alphas through the port. Good strong weak hand grip.
    1:20 dropping the gun again.
    1:24 keep the gun up.

Probably 2-3 seconds total to be had keeping the gun up alone. Finding the sights faster would have saved another 2 seconds.

More work to do. But things are coming along. DF is paying off. Need to get some time in shooting on the move this week.

    I don't have any video
    I always forget about it
This was my worst match performance of the year after my most consistent two months of practice.
I'm thinking that laying off the practice might help.

Tried to focus on not dropping the gun so far for reloads this morning. Was not very successful. Plenty to do after school today but hope to do some carry gun stuff tonight and some comp. stuff in the back yard as well.

You have to keep the expectations under control as well. You have been practicing so you expect certain things to be noticeably better. That can hurt the performance. Are you practicing for WVPPS or using WVPPS for practice for the state match and nationals?

I'm practicing for match performance improvement in general. The matches in my opinion shouldn't be treated any differently.

    Live fire tonight.

I think I have the slowest trigger finger known to man. Even doing Stoegers Doubles at 5 yards my splits wouldn't go any lower than .18. I realize transitions and being ready to shoot when entering position are more important, but dang. Wonder if their are any dry fire secrets to speed up your finger.

I have so many things I want to post here but I cannot because it is a family forum. And I follow the rules... here.

Match this weekend. Made a few mistakes. I was trying to keep up with a Master who was shooting right before me. (Joe Margheron) In so doing I was really shooting at dry fire speed instead of match speed. It worked out fairly well except for a no shoot and a couple of Mikes.

I changed things up with these last two because it is all feeling a little laborious. Looking forward to Nationals and the break from Dry fire after nationals. Felt I was reaction to the beep better tonight that I normally do. The sessions are going ok and I can see some improvement on par times. Just having to make myself get started.

    Carry gun:
    draws
    3x2

Used a t shirt again tonight. Not as hot.

Have some private instruction later tonight. Planning on doing a little live fire with the carry gun if time permits and the joints are cooperating.
