Riverman67 and I got some live fire in today in Bay 7 at Riley. I feel like I made a break through on shooting steel poppers. It was nice having some one else on the timer. Felt good about the hard cover targets. Felt good about the draws. Got close to a PR on draws. Worked on some unloaded table starts.

Warsaw tomorrow. One more live fire session Monday evening and then it is off to nationals.

When I used to practice, I always got more from practicing with someone else than I did alone. When my classifications were creeping toward B-class, it's because I was practicing with a couple of other guys. That was before video was so easy, but I think having another set of eyes watching you and offering constructive criticism is better for most people than sale-analysis.

Training partners are a good thing.

Pushing little steel and a swinger out to 20 yards and beyond
Is an excellent way to understand just how much makeup shots cost in overall time.
Those little bastards can be shot one for one at that distance
But everything has to be right.
I'm going to do some movement work today and pack some stuff.
I'm hoping to make the practice Monday. It depends on how work goes.

Just back from Warsaw. Finished the match without a mike but did have a no-shoot. 5th behind two GM and 2 masters. Pretty happy with the day. Royce shot without penalty so he is calling that a victory.

Live fire practice tomorrow afternoon and evening.

Got in some live fire with Riverman and another guest tonight. We shot a stage that was difficult shooting. It involved small US poppers at 20 yards, a swinger, open static targets, head shots protected by no shoots, tuxedo targets, push open port and and three shooting positions.

It wasn't for *******, but excellent practice.

You always say that. Quit being so negative.

    I wasn't being negative
I said it wasn't for kitty cats but excellent practice.
I was agreeing that it was tough shooting.
It was within my ability but rushing is not an option and paying attention is paramount.
I forget about the cussing filter sometimes.
