Remember these people are working at the counter at Walmart for a reason. An educated assumption would lead me to think their knowledge of state law is very minimal.

The person at the sporting goods counter told me that she couldnt sell me ammo because I had a magazine and she didnt want to get shot... i took this as an insinuation that I was some kind of armed gunman who was going to shoot her. he said someone from Loss prevention at the market level will be calling me.

I would have stated plainly that if I was going to shoot someone there on the spot I would have asked for the more expensive ammo rather than the cheapest they had in the case...

Walked through store OC'ing Xd40 with loaded mag
arrived at sporting goods
looked at ammo,
asked sales woman to see box of tula ammo
she opened case and handed me the box of ammo
I looked at the ammo
Said i think this will work for me... just going to the range
went around the counter removed my wallet and some cash
Saleswoman is that loaded?
Me: what?
Saleswoman: is that loaded?
Me: Yes
S: I cant sell you that with a loaded magazine I dont want to get shot, its the law
M: Excuse me what?
S: I cant sell it to you with a loaded magazine its the law
M: There is no such law in indiana or federal can I see your manager
S: radios something
Assistant Store manager: How can I help
S: he wants to by ammo and has a loaded gun and i dont want to get shot
M: Sir she wont sell me ammo and is trying to use a made up law
ASM: Sir we are not like a normal gun dealer we are a class 2 we cant sell ammo with a loaded gun by law, even gun stores cant, look at the one in town
Me: What? Yes you can there is no provision about buying ammo with a loaded gun, walmart policy states they follow the law of the land and indiana allows open carry
ASM: Im sorry its the law nothing I can do..

LGS 9mm (same brand) is $15 per 50

Buy it while OC'ing all the time in Plymouth.

I'm not sure, that's strange. I read of Wal-Mart horror stories all the time. I've carried Glock, XD's and my Sig 1911 in open carry every time I buy ammo @ walmart. Never an issue. Likely just made the sales associate in this case nervous, prompting the manager to be contacted. And from there I'm not sure.

I just wanted to try that tula ammo, I have heard it dirty but always fires and it seems to usually be the cheapo stuff at gun show's... I was kind in the try before I buy in bulk mode...

Im supposed to hear back from them at the start of next week. I hope they know how embarassed, and offended I was.
