Girlfriend of 17 years leaves now ex-boyfriend (EBF) and seeks refuge with stepdaughter and 36 yo stepson (SS).

EBF, 67, had a ”personal protection order” and an “extreme risk order” against him and his two firearms had been confiscated under Red Flag law. However EBF obtained a handgun apparently from his ex-wife, as well as an ax, and went to call on his ex-girlfriend (EGF).

EBF broke into house using ax while EGF and SS ran upstairs to a bedroom. SS held bedroom door shut with his body while EGF sheltered in connected bathroom.

EBF fires shot thru bedroom door, miraculously missing SS, who dives to floor. EBF enters, announces he’s there for EGF, and heads to bathroom. SS pulls out gun and fires once. EBF DRT.

The only new detail it adds is that the deceased invader had tried to break into half a dozen neighboring homes before he got into this one. He was able to get through a sliding glass door that opened the from the bedroom into the backyard.

Man shows up for work drunk. Fired on spot. Tries to run down boss with SUV. Hits boss and someone else (Not fatally). Neighbor hears commotion, comes out with shotgun, three (at least) shots and ex-employee is now ex-living.

Three or four guys, depending on source, tried to rob a tobacco store yesterday. Would-be robbers pepper sprayed a clerk, store owner shot one of the robbers in the chest. Robbers fled, wounded one found in an alley, pronounce deceased at the hospital. Their getaway car was “box down“ so they fled on foot.
Cops still looking for the rest at time of report.

Middle school teacher sleeping in apartment nearby hears her screaming, grabs his pistol and runs out in his skivvies to chase attacker away. Police have surveillance video, looking for attacker.
