Ok…. I just saw a DeSantis commercial where he plays a Navy fighter jet pilot in it. Yes he was a Navy JAG and not a pilot, regardless the commercial was so stupid and cheesy only a moron would have done it. Why he did it is beyond me, I no longer ever see him as commander in chief.

Love Trump, but he has become so toxic I cannot see him winning the presidency again! DeSantis has been impressive dealing with Brandon’s Illegal Replacement Voters and the wacko WOKE Mob! DeSantis also has military experience, which is a good indicator of attaining discipline and the ability to function well in a structured environment with rules and LAWs!

Just why is Trump “so toxic”? Trump is not in any way shape or form “toxic”. You can look at photos of all of them, leftist, media, hollywood, all fawning over Trump. If there was anyone that did not fawn over Trump it was conservatives. Why would one even think Trump is “toxic” to the masses?

This post makes a common assumption, an assumption perpetuated by TPTB, that it is about Trump, I assure you, it is not about Trump at all. Just when did the pendulum swing and the left startled hating Trump? When he started espousing conservative values and points, that is when.

It's not Trump they find “toxic”, it‘s your values they find “toxic”…

    :lmfao:

He really plays into the narratives against him. I don’t think he’s truly toxic as the establishment media paints him. But he makes the lines in the coloring book easy to paint with toxic colors. And I think this is something he can’t possibly help. He is who he is. It would help a lot if he had better communication skills.

Yes, but is it the man or the message and who that message represents?

It’s the man. Like I said. I don’t think he can help it. But. At least he’s great at trolling.
I am just 180 on this take. The left loved him. They loved his money. They loved his bravado.

UNTIL he started saying things conservatives believe, then he was instantly a pariah.

You really think this is about personality and not message and who the message represents?

It’s not just one thing. It rarely is. But, what I was talking anout is how Trump’s poor communication skills as a statesman helps his enemies paint him toxic colors. His instincts as a showman are quite good. I think some skills as a showman are transferable to a point, but not a complete substitute for the skills of a statesman.

But it’s hard to get the complete package. So we settle. I just wish Trump could shownsome signs that he’s learned the right lessons.

No, they loved him until they helped him get the R nomination and then they went after him with full gusto. When he actually managed to beat the chosen one, he became literally Hitler.

You've seen a number of people on this forum that have voted for him tell you it is his personality, yet you continue to not believe. Rather than denying it, maybe actually listen to what people are telling you.

The outcome was interesting in the first post and the DeSantis loss of support was interesting as well. That loss of support may come from not attending CPAC and instead hanging out with club for growth…
CPAC ...Ron Paul should have had 2 terms!

They loved him a looong time before that. There are hundreds of pics of them sucking up to him for 40 years. Agree with the rest.

As @jamil said, it is rarely one thing but it is silly to think it is all about his personality. Just silly. The evidence is plentiful that is not true. There is abundant evidence that his personality, which has not changed much, was not an issue for 40 years until he espoused conservative viewpoints.

Did you pay any attention to Trump at all before 2015? I did some, read a couple of his books and saw tabloid stuff. Also was aware of his passionate stance on trade and foreign ownership of US property. They did not find him toxic then, they gave him a TV show. No network would give him one now.

Then look at the vile things said about lefty Romney and suck up McCain when they espoused the conservative message to try to get elected.

    Look at the evidence…

Are you talking about him being liked by the left or able to win the Presidency again? Because I am talking about the latter, and you seem to have focused on the former.

It is both and no matter the nominee if they espouse conservatives values they are toxic…

The left and media are scared to death of Trump. Does not matter what supporters think or say. Trump simply allows himself to be lured into making comments that fuel the narrative. It is his Brooklyn manner of speech and brashness that elected Brandon by alienating the wishy washy middle of the road voter, while being wildly appealing to the conservative base. It is sad that so many are weak minded and unwilling to see only Trump accomplishments and policy. Far to many simply tune out and bristle at the mere mention of Trump. It is NOT in our best interest to ignore these facts unless you crave another four years of Brandon and SOCIALISTS! If Trump wins the nomination, I will happily vote for him. AGAIN!

They are totally different things. Of course the Ds are going to find the R toxic. Trump is seen as so by a lot of people that are not Ds though.

Let's stop calling Trump a conservative too. He is a populist, not a conservative.
