Glad to see you say that mike. We'll have to see how this plays out.
I want a real contest with competition on ideas that are America first, and may the best man win. But it will be an ugly slugfest. Most presidents and candidates have surrogates are the bad guy, Trump will not farm that out, but trust me all the candidates, including DeSantis will have their way of slinging mud. This will be bloody and dirty simply because the stakes are so high…

I'm willing to say that DeSantis needs to prove that he is a good option worth voting for even for Trump supporters if Trump doesn't receive the nomination.
This is what it's gonna take to defeat the Democrats. Give us all something to vote for.

Interesting, Disney CEO failed to take DeSantis advise here.

One thing DeSantis seems to have figured out is the outrage mob does not last very long, do what you want, let them howl for a few hours then they move on. They are the original “moveon.orq“. LOL

“DeSantis recounts his advice to Chapek that included saying there would be limited periods of "outrage" from the woke mob when the bill passed Florida's legislature and again when DeSantis signed the parental rights bill, but that it would be just "48 hours of outrage" and that it would be "mostly online."

This is one of DeSantis's attributes that I was talking about. He brings the heat to the leftist's and their woke mob and the MSM as well as Trump does. I'm looking for reasons to support another option if need be (not just "He's not Trump") and will continue to do so. I need actual substance. Stay tuned....

Has Florida changed their law yet to allow D'tis to run for potus while still gov.? I suppose he could simply step down. Stepping down sees unlikely. I'm curious to hear how his FL constituents feel about changing the law. I'm not sure when FL legislative sessions run and when laws passed get start dates. A quick looksee didn't show any reporting on the issue since 2022. There were a few articles from 2023, mostly about resistance to changing the law by some state rep R's.

Hmmm.. Speaking disparagingly about CoC republicans and reportedly courting Roy and Massie to form a coalition if true is hardly the workings of a RINO.
Depends how you define RINO. If RINO only means not-Trump, then it's quite encompassing.

    There goes the neighborhood…..

Something something Trump people deserve it something Trump mean to DeSantis something
I seem to recall a very similar thing occurring during the Trump administration with the when police cleared protesters when Trump was going to a church.

Other than public property versus private property, other than .GOV doing it versus private property telling disruptors they aren't welcome, other than tear gas.... yeah, well same-same.

ETA: Hecklers "escorted" out of rallies... which is likely a VERY close analogue. I'm sure there's others if I search, but why? Want to protest DeSantis on the steps of the statehouse in Tallahassee... I support your rights 100%. Think you have the same rights to disrupt a PRIVATE business with the same grievances and protests, go **** yourself.

My understanding was that persons were excluded not just for heckling but also simply because they were wearing Trump paraphernalia. I can understand why D'tis would not want those heckling and making a scene to enter. But to exclude those who simply were a t-shirt or hat with Trump or MAGA has a bad look to it.

I guess if you're on a photo op you and you're planning to run for POTUS, you probably don't want your chief opponent's slogan all over your photos.
